“Excellent location”
Reviewed 23 September 2013

The location is fabulous; it is walking distance from many of the key sites in Rome. But the rooms desperately need updating. Our room looked nothing like the one in the professional photos. Even all the carpets in the hallway have to be over 30 years old, they are pretty gross. Thankfully the bathrooms ARE updated. The front desk staff was fine, but not helpful when our air conditioning didn't work. He said that it was working downstairs, so he couldn't understand why it didn't work in our room (the fan was actually broken). Thankfully it was September and not mid-summer. We were able to open the window. The breakfast was lovely and served upstairs on the veranda. Despite the fact that the rooms need an update, they were clean, and I would still stay here again for a decent price because of where the hotel is situated.

We loved our stay here. It's very centrally located and is nice and quiet, tucked away in a little piazza...... The breakfast room is on the top floor with a roof patio, with a beautiful view. The place is a little dated, and is probably due for a little remodeling, but we really liked it!

As many Before me have mentioned, the location is great. Also the staff and willingness to meet customer whishes were much higher then "normal" italian city center hotel. The breakfast was served on a roof-top terrace overloooking almost the whole city of Rome with Saint Peters Church in one direction and Victor Emmanuell building in the other. They even had a little pool up on the roof. ( well, a very small pool suitable for kids or samply dangle your legs in), but yet a pool...I mean, they did not even mention this nor the terrace in the information of the hotell at the e-bookers web site. The view over the neighbours roof top gardens was also very beautiful.

All-in -all it was a great stay and very good value for Money. Very good value....

Found this hotel was a walking distance to Trevi Fountain, Pantheon and The Spanish Steps. The room was clean and tidy, staff very helpful , there was a lovely lounge to sit in, and the good breakfast was served on the roof - a really lovely spot. The only negative, would be the pool - very small and we didn't think useable. However was a minor concern and didn't really detract from our stay in Rome. Would certainly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers

We got this hotel from a 3rd party website for a steal. So price-wise I got a great value. But I still thought that I was paying for a 4-star hotel. We were on the 6th floor, right in front of the staircase that leads to the breakfast dining room, which meant that there was always a smell on the 6th floor. The room was okay, it was a little dark and the windows were small, also the mattress was extremely uncomfortable. It was very clear to me that we had a room that was not renovated. We were the only room that I could see that did not have a key card and actually had a physical key. Ironically, our friends on a lower floor (2nd) had a MUCH better view of the parliament than we did. They had large windows and a greatly lit and bright room. On the other hand, our room resembled a suite of sorts, we had an extra little area outside the "bedroom" that had a desk and a little pull-out chair that turned into a single bed. This came in handy for our friends that wanted to crash for a few hours without having to return to their hotel. The concierge service was okay. They usually managed to answer our questions - but most of the time they were eager to let us get on with our day. The elevator is TINY. There's a "small pool", more like a large hot tub, although I wouldn't set foot in it (really didn't look appealing). The view from the top floor where the dining area is is spectacular. The location of the hotel is really great - but being so close to the parliament meant that taxis could not come to the door; you have to get off around the corner. Our best experience was at the bar - the bartender was really great.
Also wifi was not free - not in the rooms or lobby. And a tip for people who need to iron their clothes. There is no iron available at the hotel - but they are willing to get it laundered/ironed for you by the next day.
Overall - for what I paid this was a great value, but I will probably not be staying here again.

Room Tip: The 2nd floor rooms were great compared to the 6th floor. Go for a lower floor.

Stayed here for four Nights in july 2013. A good choise if you like everything within walking distance! We walked everywhere....the Spanish steps, the Trevi fountain, the Vatican, Pantheon, Trastevere, Piazza Navona, the Colosseum....and so on. Shopping streets and restaurants right outside too. The rooms have good size, the bathrooms are clean, and the staff is helpful and friendly. The breakfast was lovely, and what a wiew from the roof terrace! A good way to start each day - "on the top of Rome" :) Right next to the Parliament building, so police and Security patroling the Piazza outside 24/7. Our room was facing a quiet street, no noice at all! Soft beds too. A good choise!

Remembering that there is more to Rome than your hotel - this hotel is suitable to have easy walking access to everything Rome has to offer. All the museums, architecture, history, shops, restaurants, cafes are within walking distance. The hotel itself is clean and functional but very ordinary. Breakfast is on the roof top - fabulous views. A shame there is not a bar service in the evenings. And because it is near the parliament there is not shortage of security around - can make you feel safe I suppose.
