When researching a hotel I look at location, amenities and what other people I know thought of it. In the case of Hotel Delle Nazioni the location was near perfect...walkable to most of the major sights in Rome (Trevi fountain-1 block away, Spanish steps, Pantheon, Plazza Navonna, etc.), a city taxi stand just outside the hotel for when it rained (and it did) or for further locales.
It was located on a small street and pretty quiet, within walking distance of major thoroughfares. Also a satisfying breakfast buffet (Rome doesn't offer many Restaurant breakfasts) and an attached coffee bar, Gelato and outdoor restaurant. Plus water bottles that we took for our walks (it can be very hot in Rome with resulting losses of body fluid).
The rooms were European small but the Bathroom was large and the rooms were clean. The view overlooked a quiet courtyard when opened. The services were formal and but helpful, and they allowed us early check in and arranged our taxi to Civitavecchia.
I would definitely return there on any revisits to Rome.More
