We loved our stay here! The front desk receptionist, Vincenzo, was awesome!! When we entered the hotel, we were greeted warmly. Vincenzo went above and beyond to help us with anything we needed. He was there to offer help when we didn't know how to turn on the air conditioner, when our Vatican tickets would not print and he even came out to the garage to help us try and park our SUV. When it wouldn't fit, he allowed us to park in front of the hotel where our vehicle would be seen by security cameras. When my two younger children had to go the the emergency room after an allergic reaction to nuts in central Rome, he was there to offer me directions to the hospital. He went as far as offering to drive me to the hospital to pick up my family after his work shift. We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We loved the breakfast also. The location of the hotel is a little out of the way but we drove our own vehicle so we were able to drive to the metro everyday and park. There is a shopping center located next to the hotel which also helps out a lot. The beds and room were very comfortable and a good size. Overall, it was a great stay at a great hotel with great staff!!!

We spent our first night in another hotel where we got the stereotypical rude and cold reception. But when we crossed town to this hotel we absolutely fell in love with Mrs. Soranno who welcomed us like long lost family. Every member of the staff was warm, friendly and genuine with their hospitality. The girls and I took the shuttle to the metro in the mornings and walked back at night. We loved it!

We booked Rome-east for four nights due to the reasonable rates. First, getting there... There are basically two options. Either take a taxi from Ciampino which was €65 but only took about 25-30 minutes... The other option is a shuttle bus to termini station then a tram to the hotel... Although this may be more cost effective, travel time can be up to 2 hrs. As far as the hotel itself we had no complaints other than for some reason we couldn't get WIFI in our room (604). The hotel staff were remarkable! Every question we had was answered thoroughly. Honestly, the biggest downfall was the location. The tram which is about half a mile or so takes about 30 minutes to get into the city. the walk is less than desirable due to us not having a safe feeling. The other option is the metro train. The hotel offers a courtesy shuttle to and from however you must reserve it and there are only 7 seats. If you manage to get it for one of the two morning times great. The return times however are less desirable due to the last pick up being at 1730. Which leaves you to the tram option and the late night walk. The best time in Rome is definitely at night so don't base your trip around the courtesy shuttle. All in all, great hotel... Just a bit far off the city!

Basically holiday inn express hotels are meant to be value for money. My uncle had booked this hotel for me & my family for holidays in Rome. The hotel no doubt is really far from the city center though they had a shuttle service running to the nearest metro station but if you have are in Rome for sightseeing then you are bound to get bounded by the timings of the shuttle bus because it has to come back to the hotel at a particular time in the night thereby one cannot enjoy the nightlife in the city. The surroundings near the hotel were quite weird and it was a purely residential area. Not much to look around when you come out of the hotel. The hotel management was good with quick check-in-out,breakfast served was good as well. The rooms given to us were clean, not so spacious but adequate.Overall if you want to enjoy the sights in Rome then this is surely not the property for you otherwise for people on business purposes it will serve well.

Not a central one, nor a 5 star one, but a very clean hotel, with friendly staff and pretty easy to reach most of the Rome attractions - so don't hesitate if you don't want to spend more money just for a central hotel.

Everything just perfect, the breakfast was one of the best we had in over 3 weeks. The staff was very helpful and courteous. We stayed here 2 nights because we went to a concert at TendaStrice Palace. The location was perfect for the concert as we could walk home and skip the traffic and nightmare of parking. We even went into town for a day and it wasn't too bad, there is a tram that stops out front and takes you up to the subway. The breakfasts were plentiful and the staff was super nice.
