When mid October rolled out and the English weather really started showing itself, we had the idea of going to Rome for a weekend; Saturday morning to Sunday night. The main attraction of the visit was the Vatican, as the majority of other sights we've seen on former visits. This B&B proved to be ideal; only a 5 minute walk to the Vatican itself, but also with good transport links with the rest of the city (buses and Line A Metro station Ottaviano). The hotel is, in fact, located on the less populated side of the Vatican, where all the cheaper souvenir shops are located.
The room itself is large and quiet, without hearing Rome's cars. The beds were comfortable and the breakfast quite good, with a bowl of ready made sandwiches, toast, coffee, tea and croissants. WiFi is free, though you do have to ask for the password to the network.
Near the B&B, on the other side of the Vatican, are my favourite pizzeria and gelateria in Rome, Pizzeria Rustica and Old Bridge Gelato.
This B&B isn't the cheapest, but you are paying for the unique location.
Overall, this is a great B&B and I would highly recommend it.
