When Pino dropped us off at the airport after 3 nights in Le Cupole I felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend. (Pino's airport pickup service is not inc. in the room price)

Clean, comfortable, safe, quiet, and with heating and a/c: Pino's small B&B is a very nice place to stay at. It is just a short walk down the hill to the Vatican Museum, a bit further to St Peter's.

Behind the B&B, near Cipro subway station, it is not touristy like downtown, and is also interesting to stroll thru (and ask Pino about Pizzarium: a gourmet pizza place that opens to abt 10 pm)

We walked everywhere from Pino's place: to the Centro Storico, to the Colosseum, and back again in the evenings.

The B&B is quiet, but i have only given 3 stars for Sleep Quality as we like a firmer bed than was in our room. The pictures Pino has on the website are an accurate description: we were not disappointed.

Room Tip: There are only a few rooms; they all seem nice.

Thanks for hospitality of your welcome,Mr.Pino.

We stayed in Rome for 5 nights and were able to get almost everywhere by walking from this location. The room was a good size, clean, modern, with air conditioning and free wifi. Our Host Pino was extremely friendly, helpful and spike great English. The home made cakes for breakfast and the coffee delicious. We would definitely come back.

My wife and I stayed at Le Cupole for 3 nights in August 2012. The room was very clean, and modern looking, as was the bathroom. The room had a/c which was a god send, with the temperature close to 37 degrees outside. The entrance to the Vatican museum is only a two minute walk away (the queue to get in was longer than the walk to the queue itself!!). All the sights are within walking distance. We walked to St Peter's Basilica, Palatine Hill, the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, and pretty much every other touristy location without any issues, and the owner was very helpful. Having read the other comments on this property, I would say that the price, and location more than made up for the simple breakfast on offer. We would definitely stay at this property again the next time we feel like having a few days in Rome to escape the poor English weather!!

We stayed in room 1 close to the entrance door, so if other guests where coming in we could experience their noise. To enter your room you have to use a total of 4 different keys. I was glad we had booked the transfer made by the owner from the airport to the B&B because we had a late arrival and I think that we hadn't find the B&B in the dark.
The room was big enough with lots of storage space but the bathroom was rather small with less storage space. The room was clean and nicely decorated with bright colours. The water bottles in the refrigerator were free to take.
Used towels were thrown on the floor to replace them by new ones, but the housekeeper just hang them again on the heating. After a call to the owner, they were replaced immediately.
The B&B is ideally situated near the Vatican City and the metrostation Cipro is just steps away.
The breakfast is rather poor. Just make your own coffee and there were packed croissants and homemade cake. If you call yourself a B&Breakfast you should improve on that.
Despite of the weather we had a great stay in Rome.

My husband and I along with my in-laws stayed at Le Cupole from April 25th through April 28, 2012. We reserved two rooms (Rooms 2 and3). Both rooms and bathrooms were gorgeous! It looks like they were recently remodeled. The room had an armoire with lots of storage space. Unfortunately, the bathroom does not offer any counter space.
The B&B is located next to Vatican City. As Vatican City is normally a main attraction I think Le Cupole offers an ideal location.
There is a refrigerator in the room that is stocked with juice and bottled water. There is also a basket on the desk with cookies and crossiants. I really appreciate that they provide bottled water in the rooms. It’s handy to take with you and enjoy once you have had a long day of sightseeing. The breakfast consisted of coffee, juice, water, crossiants, cookies and cake. I felt that the breakfast was mediocre. I think if you label yourself as a B&B it should include a more sufficient breakfast.
Le Cupole is located in a grated area, so you will have to buzz the front desk in order to gain entrance inside. You will need a total of four keys to access your room from the outside.
The only issue we had was not having enough hot water for showers. We told the owner who adjusted the water heater and the next day there was enough water. Unfortunately, on our last day we experienced the same issue.
If you are looking for a dinner suggestion I would highly recommend La Rustichella. It’s only a few minute walk from Le Cupole and offered great tasting food and friendly service.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend Le Cupole.
