“Nice, clean hotel - Very close to Roma Termini!”
Reviewed 31 May 2014

This was my second stay here, I love how close it is to Roma Termini. The breakfast has lots of options and is included with your stay at no additional cost. Very close to public transportation, shopping, and restaurants. Good value!

The Bettoja Atlantico Hotel is a great place to stay in Rome. It is in a great location in close proximity to the Bus and Train Terminal and within walking distance of key historic sites in the City Centre such as The Colosseum, The Roman Forum and The Palantine Hill. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast is excellent and come free with the room. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

my wife and I stayed at the Bettoja for a weekend break, when you walk in you are greated by a Marble lobby with busts of past emperors of rome, the staff are helpful from the cambermaids to the waiters, the room was comfy and the water in the bath hot ideal for soaking those tired feet, the prices in the rooftop bar are roughly the same as the rest of Rome (pricey) but hey that's Rome, the continental breakfast was good, there is a metro stop 5 minutes away which is handy for getting around, the trevi fountains are 2 stops (10 mins) away. all in all pretty good.

This hotel is very tied for a 4* hotel. I felt I was pushed into a fire exit, and the room was somewhat dowdy. They really need to rethink the bedroom decor, the bathrooms have been updated so why on earth didn't they finish the job.

The hotel was given a 4 star rating but overall, I would say that it is not worth a 4 star rating. From the reception to the room to the breakfast, the service was lacklustre.

First, the reception. Even though the lobby looked rather spacious, there was only one person at the reception whenever we went in and out...and that person would often be on the computer or on the phone. No greeting from the staff and they always seemed more interested in the computer and the phone than the guests. The only time someone else was there was on our checking-in day when he helped carry our luggage to the room.

Secondly, the room. Thankfully, the triple room, though old, was clean. Do not expect new modern furniture. The furnishings were old fashioned but more importantly they were clean.

However, the bathroom was bad as the water that was drained from the bathtub comes back up through the drainage hole in the bathroom. This meant that the area around the bathtub became wet after every bath if you use the bathtub!

Thirdly, staff entered the room without knocking in the morning!! And we didnt even put out the sign "Please make up the room".

Fourthly, breakfast was repeated throughout the 4 days that we were there. We had expected a heartier breakfast since it was a 4 star hotel but we were very much disappointed. It was the usual toast, bread, eggs, bacon, cereals that we had from 2/3 star hotels. Again, there seemed to be a shortage of staff for breakfast and the staff present did not greet the guests. Tables were left uncleaned as there was only one lady clearing the tables.

Location wise it is very near to Termini station. We could even walk to the Colosseum from the hotel (about 15-20 minutes). HOwever, we would not stay in the hotel again if we were to go back to Rome.

A hotel within easy walking distance of the Rome train station (it was not the hotel’s fault that the escalators in the train station weren’t working :), and close to plenty of good restaurants (which is probably true of anywhere in Rome) and the Coliseum. Good breakfast, in a room shared with the hotel next door.

Excelent location, next to Termini Centrale, busses, subway, hop on busses etc ( max 200 m to walk from the main exit in front of the station )
Nice , clean rooms, good breakfast (common dining room with Bettoja Hotel Mediterraneo)

Complains: We were not allowed to enter the roof garden unless we bought something from the bar ( even though it not was lunch - dinner time)
