This hotel is a simple hotel than has a large open reception area providing visitors with plenty of places to sit and relax. The room was quite dated but had classic features, with a comfortable, large bed, and a small bathroom. The shower took a long time to heat up and wasn't fitted properly which was a nuisance, however it wasn't the end of the world. The air-conditioning was a large built-in fan behind the curtains, and failed to cool down the room, particularly at night when it gets really hot and stuffy. To open the window meant you get quite a lot of noise from traffic and the business of Rome, however we slept through it given we were so tired from all the sightseeing during the day. The location is a 5 minute walk from the train station, where buses and the metro can be easily found! It is a walk into the centre, but a pleasant one at that! There are plenty of restaurants to chose from near by. The breakfast was good, with a decent selection.. roof terrace was so nice at the end of our last day to chill in the sun and rest on the sun loungers! Beer is ridiculously prices... go to local store instead!!

I stayed at this hotel during a road trip through Italy. The hotel has a very classic style, with a traditional and old vibe.
Room and bathroom were spacious and very clean. The room was comfortable, except for the noise we heard all night on the corridors and on the other rooms. The sleep quality can be improved!
The location is great to explore Rome and visit the main attractions. There is also a nearby metro station, which gets you in Vatican City in about 5’ (€1,80 per ride). We parked the car on a garage that has a covenant with the hotel (the cost was €25 per night, but there aren´t many options in Rome…).
Breakfast was standard, with a reasonable variety of food.
Staff at the reception was very helpful. The staff at breakfast was also nice, except for a man (paunchy, which seemed to be the manager) that was always snorting from one side to another and grumbling and giving orders to the clients. It seemed he didn´t like his job and he made it clear to everyone! He really gave a bad image of the service.
I would stay here again! Overall the hotel is nice and clean, with a great location.

This hotel is perfectly placed for you to get around Rome easily. The colleseum, St Peters, the Spanish steps are all just a short metro ride away. Also Just a few minutes walk to the main train station in Rome.

The rooms are clean and comfortable. The bathroom was small but had everything you need and toiletries and towels replaced daily.

Lovely little rooftop bar where you can sit and relax with a drink and a lovely view. You are given a voucher for a free drink on arrival however this only includes sangria. Wine is around 5/6 euros a glass and sparkling is 7/8 euros.

I used the gym which is pretty basic, weights, running machine and bikes. All in fully working order and clean facilities with a water tank provided.

Breakfast was ok. Meats, cheeses, fruit, yoghurt and pastries etc. good selection overall and if it is quiet they will make fried or scrambled eggs in the kitchen. Expect to queue for a table at around 8.30-9am when it is busy.

Friendly staff with good customer service overall. I would stay here again if I came back to visit Rome.

Hotel was like a beacon of decency in a city populated by some of the most thoroughly unpleasant people I've ever encountered.

Excellent cleanliness, food was good, staff eager to please, comfortable rooms and roof terrace was lovely. Just a shame the rest of Rome failed so miserably.

If you really want to see Rome, stay here for two nights, rush everything in, watch out for thieves, pickpockets, scam artists and the state trying to rip you off at every turn and then get out. Better yet... Go to a country where they actually appreciate your custom instead. Italy is full of the worst in human nature.

I stayed at the Hotel Nord Nuova Roma for a few nights during a recent trip to Italy with my two sons. We shared a double room, and the hotel provided a nice roll-away bed before we arrived.
The hotel is close to main Termini station, one block off a main thoroughfare. We actually just pulled our bags the two blocks from the train station, instead of paying a cab, although I wouldn’t recommend doing that with small children or in inclement weather. The area near the hotel is decent and you can find a nice restaurant if you walk about two minutes in any direction. There is actually a café located right outside the doors of the hotel. There are also a few convenience stores within a block or two.
The hotel was clean and well-decorated. The staff spoke English, and was friendly and helpful. There are stairs and elevators to quickly get to the rooms. Our room was decent in size, with vaulted ceilings, terrazzo floor, good air conditioning, a small refrigerator, cable TV, and a nice window that opened out over the street. The room was fairly quiet, considering the location and traffic. The rooms use the key/card system, so that when you leave the room and remove the key from the wall slot, the AC in the room turns off.
The only problem we encountered was no hot water one day, but it was fixed by the end of the day.
There is a free continental buffet in the mornings; it was of average quality, with the usual pastries, cereal, yogurt, fruits, and juices. There was also a nice rooftop café and bar, which was open intermittently, with a nice view of the city (see my photos). There is also a small business center off the lobby, where we had the free use of a few desktop computers. We enjoyed free Wi-Fi throughout our stay.
I booked through a travel agent since this was a combination air/hotel/cruise trip, and I was very happy with the rate I paid for the hotel.
Overall, I was very happy with the Hotel Nord Nuova Roma. I would consider staying there again if I returned to Rome.

Room Tip: Our room on the third floor was fine, very little street noise, it faced away from the main street and the Termini, might have been facing south.
