Nice hotel for one night. The worst breakfast I ever had in my trip. Good location, it is a business hotel class. I think less than 4 stars. Rooms ok but the TV very small, They gave us roooms infront the elevator, the worst thing you could accept.

Room Tip: Ask for rooms on the corner, they are very big.

I would say this hotel is fine, worthy of it's 4 stars but no more. Park behind it is nice, convenient to walk into town and a safe neighborhood. Rooms are clean, somewhat modern and breakfast is decent, not over the top but adequate. Front desk staff a bit crabby.

After looking at several hotel options I decided to pay a little extra to stay in this modern well located hotel however was disappointed by their service.

CHECK-IN: Initial impressions was good, the lobby despite being in the basement (walk down stairs, a lift is apparently available) was well decorated and with plenty of staff happy and ready to help. However, this friendliness did not last long, apparently they made an error allocating me the wrong room but instead of explaining it to me and exchanging my keys the staff walked away, discussed for a few minutes then came back and told me to sign new papers with no explanation. They then took my keys after I asked them and gave me new keys without saying much, no smile, no explanations, they just impatiently walked away.

ROOM: The room was small but this was as expected, its modern and the air conditioning worked well which is quite important during the summery hot weather. However despite the modern decor obvious wear and tear is starting to show. The bathroom was also not cleaned properly with lots of hair and dust on the basin. The bathroom amenities was however very good with almost everything you need provided including a hair dryer. Tea and coffee facility was provided but the cups were very small and made of plastic. (I recommend you to grab a tea cup from the bar downstairs if you want a cuppa). The kettle was also not clean. The TV provided a range of international channel including BBC and a German, French and Chinese channel.

DINING: I was a little disappointed that this hotel's room service ends at approximately 11pm as most other 4 star hotels I have stayed at offers 24hour room service or at least till 2am. This is because the room service finishes when the restaurant kitchen closes thus if you arrive on a late night flight and wishes a meal then you will need to go to restaurants outside of the hotel (about 10 minutes walk). The bar also closes at just before mid-night.
The Breakfast in the morning was very good. A wide selection of breakfast pastries, cheeses, cereals, salads and some hot options mainly eggs and bacon. They even have cakes one morning and on other mornings donuts, creme brulee, chocolate yoghurt. The coffee is from an auto machine and you have quite a few options.

SERVICE: The service standard is really inconsistant in this hotel. Apart from the already mentioned check-in confusion, some of the staff are impatient (both lobby and bar), grumpy and seems way too busy to even smile once in a while. However, some staff are really friendly especially the house keeping staff and some of the waiters during breakfast. Some staff are helpful and knowlegable whilst others not quite so. Thus I would say the service whilst not bad, can be improved.

CHECK OUT: There was quite a wait for check out and took approx 10 to 15 minutes. Remember there is a tourist tax in which the government impose to all hotel guest and this is to be paid on check out.

FINAL VERDICT: Do I like this hotel? Well, I really don't know... I want to like it as the location is great and the modern decor and air conditioning is nice. You can walk to spanish steps in about 20 minutes or so. If I ever come back to Rome then yes, I will still consider this hotel but I will also have a look at other offerings.

USEFUL TO KNOW: There is a supermarket at the spagna metro stop, you have to walk for about 10 minutes towards the centre of the underground station but its there if you need it.
Taxi from the vatican (eg the museum) cost approx 10-13 euro. There is a range of restaurants about 5-10 minutes walk from the hotel, just walk towards spagna metro and you will see it.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the Garden has a nice view

Modern clean new and bit pricey but a stable non-stress hotel. Our room was very petite, even for Europe; though the big balcony with chair made up for it; Think of it as a sailboat bedroom ;-). Villa Borgia park in the back. I would recommend using it to get to Metro instead of Steps. Despite my criticism I'd recommend it.

We booked that hotel with Transat after recommendation of our travel agent. The hotel is totally acceptable for the price. Not necessarily the best but we got a nice and convenient room. The service is find and the breakfasts are various and good. The hotel is not very close to the Vatican but it is easily accessible by bus. You may also shop around by foot. Would go back there at any time.

Stayed one night alone on business. Extremely clean hotel. Fantastic bar and restaurant, the breakfast had a vast selection despite few people staying.

Staff all very friendly and helpful.

Will definitely stay again when in Rome.

Breakfast is excellent, staff friendly and accommodating, rooms and bathroom are of decent size and ours was very clean.
The location is very good and within a steps from Via Venetto a few blocks from the Spanish Steps.
Only critique is the evening shift of the front desk did not have too many recommendations for restaurants outside their immediate area
