“Convenient and tidy”
Reviewed 1 September 2014

We booked this through a air-hotel package with American Airlines and it turned out to be a really decision. It's hard to find a single room for 5 but this place worked for us. They had a total of 4 twin beds and pushed 2 together for a king size bed while the older 2 had their own beds and they set up a pack and play. The bathroom was clean had all necessary items.

The location is very nice and about 400m from Termini station. We took the TAM bus (4E pp) in from FCO and the hotel is on the other end of the station. Taking day trips out of Termini and using the Metro was very convenient.

The thing that makes this a 4 of 5 is that the bedding looked dated and could certainly be updated. Otherwise, it's a nice location and the staff was very nice. The man who checked us in was helpful and the lady in the evening were both very pleasant always greeting us when we came and went and asking if we needed any assistance. Wifi was also included which was nice and if there was one standard US outlet at the desk which was good to have in case you don't have a converter.

We didn't eat at the breakfast buffet since it wasn't included in the room rate (extra 10E pp) and it worked out that we were leaving early most mornings for our outings. We found that it was easy to get food at Termini and went to the Conad grocery store on the lower level of Termini to get fresh fruit and other items.

Overall, I would say that this place has the same feel that you'd get at a Fairfield Inn. The bedding is efficient, with a thin/older comforter, the bathroom has smaller sized soaps and shampoos but you'll get a good rest.

We were greeted with a warm welcome upon arriving at the hotel by the lovely lady working the evening shift at reception and checked in very efficiently. We were provided with all the information needed about the hotel; breakfast times, AC, etc. and also tips on local transport and the quickest and easiest routes to the tourist destinations. (The main Termini station being only a short walk from the hotel).
We stayed in room 116 (ground floor) and found it very spacious and comfortable, with doors opening up to lead into the courtyard. Bathroom was a good size with plenty of fresh towels provided daily.
There was a good choice at breakfast with everything from bacon and scrambled eggs to cereal and fresh cakes and tarts.

We had one problem with the AC where it was dripping during the night which we mentioned to reception straight away and it was promptly fixed that day.

Overall a very enjoyable stay at The Royal Court Hotel, can't think of a bad word to say about it.
Would definitely recommend this hotel, and without a doubt would stay again if I return to Rome.

This hotel was wonderful. From the minute we walked in, the staff was attentive and helpful. They were willing to do whatever to make our stay the best. Good recommendations, a map of the city, pleasant greetings daily. Our room, while small, was beautiful and we had a door to the lovely courtyard. Fantastic stay.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with courtyard access. It was great to just walk out our door and sit in the lovely...

Terrific location, only about 3 blocks from Termini Station in a quiet neighborhood with nearby restaurants galore. Comfortable, clean rooms, friendly and outstanding staff, breakfast available that lacks absolutely nothing.

We knew very little about the hotel before arriving but when we entered the lobby we were greeted by the friendly evening receptionist, Ruby. She made our trip great by constantly offering us advice about navigating the city and also offering restaurant recommendations. The hotel itself was clean, comfortable and very well located. Termini station was right on the doorstep. If you are looking for good value accommodation in Rome, I highly recommend this hotel.

Close to the main rail station (and easy to access the main airport by train) this is really well placed hotel for seeing Rome. Staff were really helpful and flexible ( we changed our room on arrival from 110 to 114 as it was more private) and did all they could to make our stay a good one. Stayed with our two teenagers and our two rooms were clean and well equipped. Breakfast was good and filled us up until dinner. Ideal as a base for a few days in Rome

The Royal Court hotel is just a short walk from Termini Station. Termini is the main transportation hub in Rome, so it's a great place to be. The hotel itself is ok, the room is small but very clean. and has AC which is a welcome luxury in Rome in July. The hotel serves a great breakfast until 10:30 am. The front desk was helpful with recommending nearby restaurants and other services (laundry). I'd stay here again.
