scheduled for business, but really smart and comfortable, not so cheap, but is a good way to spend some money to stay in rome for a couple of day. quite far from centre town, but you can pick up their shuttle bus to reach the ancient Rome for a walk.
nice restaurant.

Room Tip: upgrade to superior room, it's worth doing...

Stayed for three nights Ins had a great time. Made the most if the free wifi and the breakfast was spot on. The free shuttle service was also a bonus as the hotel is a €15 taxi ride into the city.

The rooms were spotless.

This hotel is beautiful! The staff were gracious and accommodating. The 4th floor room was a little on the small side (three of us were sharing) but the terrace was AMAZING!!! and more than made up for the room size. The free breakfast was superb and the meal we had in the evening was excellent. The hotel is not near any of the sites in Rome but they have free shuttle to the city center daily. If I had any negative comment, it would be that you should know your roommate very well since the shower and toilet doors are glass.

BAD:

1) The worst part. It is very Far Off from City Center, you are there to see ROME, not to lay in your bed. This would ruin your trip to Rome.
2) Internet! It's like Hell. Out of 72 hours stay, it worked for 10 hours MAX. and speed was terrible
3) Staff is not helping
4) Breakfast range of items is poor

Not recommended!

Hotel is fair. Reasonably clean but too far outside Rome. Buffet breakfast reasonably good. Our double room was 2 single beds pushed together. Taxi driver tried to rip us off by going scenic route- taxi cost €14 on way in to city and €28 back that night! On check out then we were told there was a €50 charge for a film we watched even though we hadn't turned on the television!! Be careful of that scam - charge was miraculously dropped when we argued!!

My wife and I stayed 8 nights at the Zone and we were not disappointed. It is hard to narrow down all the good things about this hotel, but I'll try. First is the free breakfast buffet every morning from 06:30-10:30. WOW! Everything you could want(including delicious coffee that hits the spot before venturing out in your Rome excursion). Second is the free wi-fi which we found to be very good and so convenient while traveling abroad. Third is the free shuttle they offer into the city center. You must sign up for a reservation to get on it, as it only carries 8 people in the van. They pick you up as well and bring you back. The housekeeping was impeccable and we came back every evening to fresh towels and a made bed. The gentleman at the desk seems to work around the clock and is extremely courteous and patient with guests. The train station is just down the hill, which makes it easy to get to and from the city at will (just take the train to Valle Aurelia, transfer to Line A and get off in the city). We ended up taking the train from the airport to the hotel and walking from the Balduina stop. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood which made for peaceful sleeping, which was in contrast to the travelers we met staying in the city who complained of cars and people walking past their windows at night. Final thought is that this place was SO worth it! If we find ourselves in Rome again, we will be sure to stay at the Zone.

Room Tip: The rooms are not very sound proof, which is common in Rome, so we would recommend not getting a gro...
