“Wonderful loft in perfect location!”

Everything about our stay at CasaPicard's Nobleman's Loft was fantastic. Alessandro met us at the door and helped us carry our luggage, gave us a tour of the loft and made sure we had everything we needed prior to his leaving. Elizabeth checked in with us regularly during our stay and arranged airport transportation for us.

The loft is well appointed and had plenty of room for our extended family of 10. The location is perfect and we enjoy many of the restaurants and cafes in Trastevere.

I highly recommend the CasaPicard properties and cannot wait to stay with them again.

“Heaven in a Little Corner of Trastevere- I Didn't Want to Leave!”

I stayed in this apartment with friends on a recent vacation in Rome. We had the 3BR place plus the one BR apartment next door for 4 BR altogether. The apartment is just gorgeous, and the location cannot be beat. All the amenities one could wish for: wifi, washer/dryer, dishwasher, and a really nice kitchen. The owners were super, super helpful and friendly, responding to our every need and question promptly. If I ever return to Rome, I will DEFINITELY stay here again, and I'll recommend it to all of my friends who will be visiting there.

“A delightful apartment in a delightful neighborhood.”

Alex greeted us at the door and was so very kind to help us up the stairs with our luggage. This apartment was wonderful from the start. Lovely outdoor spaces to enjoy your morning coffee/tea and also a wonderful patio for dinner under the stars. The private bedrooms and bathrooms were wonderful for those who prefer an alternative to bedrooms right next to one another. This apartment could easily accommodate a large group who would prefer to eat in and share conversation. The neighborhood is filled with charming cafes, interesting shops, historic sites, grocery merchants, and wine vendors. All within walking distance of many of Rome's finest tourist sites. Put this location at the top of your list.

“Lovely apartment/loft in Trastevere - lots of space and nice outdoor terrace”

If you are looking for a large apartment with outdoor space, this is an excellent choice. Not so easy to find four bedrooms combined with outdoor space in Rome, not to mention with a good kitchen. I looked at a lot of places before selecting this one, and we were not disappointed. The owners, Martin and Elizabeth Picard, were responsive to our needs and we felt very well taken care of. We booked many things through them - in particular, great tours of the Vatican (ask for Pina). Also, I loved the location. Trastevere can be a little wild and crazy late at night, but the Nobleman's Loft is on a quiet street, albeit close to the action. For daytime activities, it is really close to historic Rome across the Tiber - we walked across the pedestrian bridge (Ponte Sisto) every day and didn't really have to take many taxis (but there is a taxi stand close by when needed). In retrospect, I was so much happier in Trastevere than I would have been in an apartment constantly surrounded by throngs of tourists (not that there aren't tourists in Trastevere - it is just a different experience). If you are traveling with a group of friends or family, consider Trastevere and the Nobleman's Loft.

Cherrie - thanks for your great review. We do go out of our way to provide the top family oriented large home in Rome - with all services easily included. We ensure that our guests have hassle free planning support, access to our deep knowledge of Rome and we facilitate hiring the best people for tours, activities and any impromptu need that may come up. I'm glad you found our location well located but quiet. That is how it has been since 1100AD!

“Great location but not so safe!”

If this rating were only about the real estate it would be a 5 stars for location, location, location. Trastevere is an ideal location with the Vatican, the Spanish Steps and the Coliseum being fairly equidistant. Unfortunately it may not be the safest area. While staying at this property we were robbed. The small apartment (Mini Renella) was broken into and my jewelry was stolen. Not a pleasant experience to say the least.

We were two families traveling with four adults and four children. We stayed in both the “Maxi Renella” and the “Mini”. The mini is just that, mini. The “full” bath is quite tight as is the bedroom. Think very tiny NYC apartment. The “maxi” has a very spacious main room and good-sized kitchen. The washer and dryer are a big plus. The mattresses were uniformly rock like.

Otherwise this property gets high marks for the exhaustive information provided by Martin and his “app”. There are lots of great restaurants in the immediate area. Additional services offered include car service to and from the airport or train station and fridge stocking. The fridge stocking I would strongly recommend as there are NO markets within easy walking distance and it is very nice to arrive and not have to worry about this task.

We booked tours with Pina, their recommend tour guide. She is wonderful!

This reviewer did not stay in the main Nobleman's Loft property but in the 4th bedroom annex which has a separate door and no access to the main property which has an alarm system and state-of-the art locks. It has never been broken into.

This reviewer did not book our property but was a guest of the person that booked. I suspect that if the person that stayed in the main property were to review us, we'd get much fairer and positive feedback.

Having said that we have had thousands of stays at the mini apartment and there never has been an incident. There are very safe locks and massive doors. I find this claim hard to believe. Was the door left open and a passerby took the opportunity?

It is unfortunate that you would make such statements on a review which will be very misleading and damaging to those that view it. Considering you did not book our property, or stay in the Nobleman's loft but actually in mini Renella (no longer rented out) it is a little disappointing to read these things. Were we a restaurant we'd suspect the place across the street sabotaging us :)
.

The Nobleman's loft provides top hotel quality accommodation and service in one of the most charming areas of Rome. If you look at every other one of our reviews you'll see that this reviewer is very much the exception. Please keep in mind that the place reviewed is not available for rent separately and is only used as a private 4th bedroom by those who require it.

“A collective "Wow" when we entered the Nobleman's Loft”

My large family of 10 stayed at the Nobleman's Loft and could not have asked for better accommodations. The location of the apartment in Tastevere perfectly fit our walking plans to the major sites in Rome including the Colosseum, Forum, and Vatican City. A large number of restaurants are within steps of the front door. Overall, I would recommend the Loft and hope to have another occasion to come back.

“Charming Neighborhood in the Heart of Rome”
Reviewed 3 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Not only did the convenient location of the loft make our time in Rome great, but also all of the advice we received from Martin and his sister Elizabeth. We felt as though we were in the middle of everything, from supermarkets to restaurants to tourist attractions. While traveling with extended family it was nice to have everything just outside our door. We also rented a Vespa from the friendly shop downstairs. It was affordable and very fun to scooter around Rome for an afternoon. The loft itself was tidy and had plenty of room for our party of 8. We appreciated not only having a full size refrigerator and freezer, air conditioning and washing machine, but also a clothes dryer.
