This hotel has location like no other in Rome, you can overlook Piazza di Spagna, just in front of the Spanish steps! It's amazing! You can have breakfast in your room and enjoy the sun of Rome directly from your room. This is the best I could imagine, the real essence of Rome.
Beyond the location, the super friendly staff is another beautiful characteristic, they are helpful, positive and accomodating. The hotel has a modern design, different from the most you can see in the historical center of Rome, and this communicate a fresh, clean and lightful atmosphere. I will definitely come back!

Room Tip: The Superior rooms are excellent and with a good price!

We stayed 3 nights here recently at the end of a 4 week trip to Europe. We always do expensive research when booking accommodation as we're very fussy! Being our last nights of the holiday we were wanting something really nice and we settled on Piazza di Spagna Suites due to the location and reviews. However, we were disappointed with several things.

Check-in was easy and the staff on the desk couldn't be nicer. No problems communicating in English and they certainly tried to help us with everything.

The room was the smallest we'd had the entire trip. We basically had very little room to even walk in the room once our bags were deposited in the only spare space. The 'view' of the Spanish Steps can't really be classified as a view because you can only see them if you open the window and lean out. We did have a nice view of the taxi rank in the piazza though! We didn't have any large bathtub like others talk about although I'm pretty sure we paid for the best room type. The room is modern and the bathroom was pleasant but it was spoiled by the tiny bedroom.

We found the hotel noisy. Not noise from outside as you couldn't hear a thing from the piazza just below. It was noise from other guests walking and talking in the hallway. There is some type of lino flooring and you could literally hear every step as people went to and from their room.

The breakfast is sparse to say the least. We ticked everything we could on the list and were still disappointed. By the 2nd and 3rd mornings we'd learnt to ask for 2 or more of the things that appealed. It is nice to have breaky delivered to your room but definitely not filling. I think they are in the process of changing the supplier though, so it may improve.

The wifi was a big problem for us. Great reception in the room when it was working, however it was turned off every night from midnight to about 7am. The guy on the desk tried to reset it and they told us they pay for 24 hours so I'm not sure what the problem was. It was an issue for us with the 8 hour time difference to Australia as the best time to contact our children is during the night which was not possible using viber as you need wifi. It miraculously turned on in the morning.

Overall, although the location is exceptionally good, we wouldn't stay here again as there are other hotels in the area that would have suited our needs better.

Room Tip: Don't choose room 303A

My boyfriend and I stayed there in early September and we were more than thrilled with everything! I must say that our room (301) was a suite so we were very comfortable as the room is very large and has a comfortable bathroom with a big bathtub. I enjoyed the little details like having many towels and bathroom amenities and a big screen TV (although there were no channels in any language other than Italian, which, granted is a beautiful language but even euronews in English would have been nice). Having breakfast with a view of the Piazza is a real treat and the fact that the window is fully soundproof is a big bonus given the liveliness of the square, 24/7. This is not your average hotel in that it doesn't have the standard hotel facilities like a lobby, restaurant etc but when in Rome you have so many fabulous options and with such a location they're right at your feet! The interior was gorgeous and the people at the reception were very helpful so all in all we were very very pleased with our choice. If I were to mention things that could be improved it would be silly details that are hardly worth mentioning.

While the Piazza Spagna Suites is not a classic five star hotel for what they are trying to be I give them a five star rating. this is an outstanding location in the heart of the Piazza. our room (301) actually over looked the square. On the surface you would expect noice to be and issue but in spite of large crowds below the room was silent. The staff, especially Federica, could not ahve been more helpful. This is our 10th trip to Rome and we would definately return to this hotel...and probably ask for the same room as it was very spacious and comfortable. One add is I wish they had at least one English speaking TV station on their system.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable. You can wake up early in the morning and visit Spanish Step or Fontana di Trevi to avoid those stupid tourists who flock the place and do silly things.

My only problem is that the property is small so they tiny rooms even for Rome standard. They don't have breakfast room so the breakfast will be in-room dining. However, the service and the people are great. The guide book is a nice touch and it's actually quite useful.

So overall, I would recommend this place for short stay. A week stay would probably too much and you would start feeling cramped. You will also have to be ready to pay the premium for the location.

We stayed here for our honeymoon. We arrrived to the hotel by shuttle which was 40 euros. The building is hard to find as there are no signs but it is right beside the Furla boutique and the hotel is on the 4th floor. The receptionist is very helpful and gave us a room with a view of the Spanish Steps. The location is right by the metro station so we had an easy time getting to other famous spots. The wifi was very bad and no breakfast was offerred, but the main reason to stay here is for the location. Trevi Fountain and Pantheon were within easy walking distance no more than 10 mins.

Great location just a short walk from the metro. Lovely room with a view (even those rooms not on the piazza). Only disappointment was the bathroom. Bath didn't work as a bath and couldn't be fixed as maintenance man was off ill. We weren't offered another room. Aside from this breakfast was good and reception staff (especially Pietro who helped us to print off boarding cards) were great very helpful.
