came home recently from a city break with my mum and brother. the hotel was fantastic! on arrival we had a warm welcome and checked in quickly. the room was very comfortable and although it was a lot smaller, it exceeded the quality of some 4 star family resorts that it have stayed in (the safe and fridge were included in the room price and the bathroom was immaculate). the hotel was well decorated and very clean. the staff were all very nice and worked very hard, considering one of the nights i had an accident (in NO relation to the hotel AT ALL), i was able to to return to the hotel and member of staff on the desk phoned promptly for a taxi. they were also very helpful when we asked about maps etc. breakfast was continental but there was something for everyone. THE LOCATION IS PERFECT, only a five minute walk to the Cavour metro, and 2 mins away from a beautiful church, and 15 minutes (yes, 15) from the colosseum. I cant stress enough that this is a perfect hotel for city break, will definitely return.

Just got back from a long weekend in Rome the hotel is lovely, the room was quite small but clean and we only used it for a base the breakfast was fine and all the staff were lovely. The location of the hotel is superb there are loads of bars and restaurants close and it is in easy walking distance of loads of attractions. Got a bus to the Termini from the airport which was no problem but got the shuttle for our return journey which was brilliant (14€ each - well worth it) as it was door to door. We went to the Vatican on Sunday morning and the Pope was giving a blessing to the people which was really special as we never imagined we would see him, although it did cause a bit of chaos with so many people and they closed all the roads surrounding the Vatican!

The best advice I can give to anyone making their first trip to Rome is take the most comfortable shoes you have as we walked miles and most of the streets are cobbled and a bit uneven.

We stayed at the Verona Hotel Rome and haven't anything really negative to say. Hotel is ideally located to explore the city with Maria Maggiore church at the end of the road and Cavour railway station very close by. Hotel is clean with very good staff and we were B and B and breakfast was really good, continental though only - Ham, Cheese, Pastries, Cereals etc.

Room we had was very clean and only downside was a tiny bathroom but we called it 'bijou' and got on with it as we were in ROME and were just using it as a base. You can't go wrong at the price but don't expect 'luxury'.

We stayed at this hotel during Easter and were really impressed. The location is excellent, the rooms are small but very comfortable, the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast is continental style but its self service so we had a good breakfast everyday. We would recommend this hotel to everyone and would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: Request a room with a verandah, its a nice little extra.

My granddaughter and I have just spent 5 lovely days here! From the cheerful cleaning staff, to the knowledgeable and friendly reception staff, everyone who works here is a gem. Our room was a little small - 2 single beds with no gap in between - and it could do with a refurb, but it was spotless, quiet and comfortable. It also had a fridge, which meant we could keep fruit and water ( and chocolate! ) nice and cool. The air conditioning was very quiet, which was excellent as it was warm at night. We found the breakfast to be very good. I bought fruit from the shop in the street, to add to our breakfast. I have seen other reviews where some have said there wasn't much at breakfast.....not so. 4 cereals, yoghurt, fruit juices, sponge cake, 2 fruit tarts, 4 different croissants, 3 sorts of bread, ham, cheese, eggs......! The hotel is in a very good location, as others have noted. I would recommend the shuttle bus to the airport - it costs 14 Euros per person and is worth it! When we arrived, we got the Terravision bus ( a true nightmare, they just keep selling tickets and you have to push your way on the bus!!!) to Termini and walked to the hotel.....after 5 days of walking, I couldn't face the return journey on the bus, so the shuttle was great. All in all, I would completely recommend the hotel. Thank you for making our stay so pleasant!

Room Tip: Ask for a quiet room, we did and it was lovely and quiet!
