I must admit to being a bit concerned when we bookedcthis hotel as there were mixed reports. Great location, just a 10 main walk from Termini station. 35 mins from Spanish steps on foot, 15 mins from colloseum on foot. Loads of restaurants in 10 main walk. Room good, comfortable bed, great location. The only think I missed was that it would have been nice to have a bar to relax in the evening. Other than that, no major issues

Room Tip: One at the back of the hotel to get away from the noise of the main road at the front

My wife and I stayed here for several nights. The room was very large and clean. The bathroom was small but clean. The a/c worked great. The staff knew enough english to conduct business and they were very friendly. The continental breakfast was good. Im very picky and yet I'd say I would probably return here on my next visit.

Like most small hotels in Rome Hotel Valle is quaint, almost boutique, but without the trimmings. Somewhat like the TARDIS in Doctor Who it is labyrinthine once you get to your floor. To accomplish that you must go by the lift (elevator) as the stairs are for emergency only, and closed for security too. Whatever the opposite to TARDIS is, that is the lift. Although rated for 6, 2 at a time is more than enough, especially with luggage. The wait for the doors to open is just that little bit too long. Claustrophobics be aware.
However, Antonella, on day reception makes up for any shortfalls with her sunny disposition and friendly assistance with any request. Everything you want to see or experience in Rome is in walking distance of this hotel including the the Metro to get to the Vatican. The abundant bars, pizzarias, eateries makes for a wealth of choice within moments of leaving the front door. The Piazza at the end of via del Angeletto is a buzz every night. A must do.
You will not be disappointed with this hotel as long as you aren't expecting 3,4 or 5 stars. Highly recommend it for location, value and security

My room had dirty curtains and a dirty bedspread, peeling fabric on the walls and headboard and the carpet was worn and stained. The bed was comfortable, and that's about it!
The breakfast was served in the reception area and was so cramped I could elbow the person at the next table. The 'hot drinks' were served in thermos flasks, so I had to ask for hot water to make my own tea! Cheap plastic cheese and awful cakes!
The staff were dismissive and surly, no welcome or thanks for your custom.
I cannot forgive myself for wasting €240 for 3 nights here, please don't waste your money at this hotel...it will spoil your holiday

No hot water for 5 days! The worst defects VALLE HOTEL ROME is very cold water!Management told us always to wait 20 minutes to get hot water, but in fact she was still Chilled! This lasted for 5 days! Other guests have made claims without satisfaction too.We booked and paid in advance on the internet, so we were forced to stay ...The reception does not apologize for this inconvenience, however hot water is a minimum service in a hotel of this price! The rooms are tiny, windowless and therefore no light. The rooms do not match the pictures of the presentation of this hotel. The breakfast room is very small.I recommend the VALLE HOTEL!
