Nice, older hotel. Very clean and great little garden in the patio. As other people have stated the best part are the employees, especially the ladies Milena and Kika, Would go back just to see them!!!
- Free Wifi
This is an older hotel, but what makes it worthy of 5 points is the people. Giacomo (Jack) is a class act. I arrived to the hotel flustered and out of sorts due to a falling out with my travel partner, and he did everything he could to accommodate us. The hotel rooms are clean, air conditioned, reasonably priced, central to everything, and the service is A+++. Also, breakfast is included, and the coffee and espresso are fab. Spread a little Nutella on a piece of crostatetta and dunk into your coffee. Heaven. I Highly recommend Select Garden.
Our room overlooked the lemon tree in the garden. We had shutters for our door and our room was super quiet. The staff is what makes this hotel so special; one cannot find better people than Kika and Melina, the best we found on our entire trip. It's a short walk to the train station, metro, bus and the Baths of Caracalla. The breakfast buffet was fantastic, so many choices and great service too. I did wonder why "shoyu/soy sauce" was available? I would definitely revisit this hotel if given the chance. The only challenge was the opening the shower door (very cramped). Loved the heater rack in the bathroom for drying laundry!
When we arrived, they were cleaning the rooms, but allowed us to have our choice of room. The complimentary breakfast was an added bonus, as was the close proximity to the metro stations. Hotel staff were professional and very helpful.
We started our two week vacation in Italy at this hotel and it was wonderful. Staff went above and beyond! Their private courtyard has a beautiful lemon tree and they had no problem with us eating our breakfast out there, although we usually just brought our cappuccino out. Nice breakfast room with a variety of options. Great cappuccino/ coffee machine and a separate juice machine. Room was a little small but perfect for two people. Only place that have us a mini fridge. Very clean, bathrooms look newly finished. Conveniently located just two blocks from the metro/bus/train station. Highly recommend!!!
We chose this hotel because of the price and location. It's just a 5 minute walk from the Termini and was really easy to find. The rooms are quite small but we just wanted somewhere to shower and sleep after a long days sightseeing and this suited perfectly. The rooms looked fairly recently refurbished and were very clean. The hotel staff were all friendly and welcoming and breakfast was included. This consisted of pastries, bread, meat, cheese, cereal or fruit along with hot drinks. It was more than ample to set us up for the day. If I had one wish it would be to have the facilities to make tea & coffee in the room. The hotel will happily make one for you for a reasonable €2 but we were on the 3rd floor with no lift and couldn't always face the stairs as there is no lift. Overall this is a great budget hotel centrally located with great staff. If I returned to Rome I'd definitely consider going back!
