“Just right for us.......quiet location, easy to visit many places on foot”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 December 2013

We stayed in early December 2013 and were not disappointed with this hotel nor its location. Using the local map provided at reception we chose to walk to most of the sights. If you are reasonably fit then it is easily manageable.

The staff were friendly and helpful, though we found the female staff more communicative then the men. Breakfast was great - a range of hot and cold food on offer from 7 until 11 a.m.. The room was nice with excellent air conditioning which kept the room at a comfortable ambient temperature - we set it at 22 degs in the morning and 18 overnight. Like hotel rooms in most European countries the room was not large but it had a fridge, safe and walk in wardrobe. The marble en-suite had a bath with shower over - everything was spotlessly clean.

We followed someone's tip from Tripadvisor and asked for a room at the front of the hotel, looking over the US Embassy. Total peace. The 24 hour armed guards at the Embassy gates directly opposite might have had something to do with that! There are places to eat down every road you took from the hotel, moreso on the Via Veneto which is just a 5 minute walk away.

Unfortunately the leisure pool etc was being refurbished while we there, which was a disappointment, so I can't comment on that. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Room Tip: Front of the hotel. The hotel is in a quiet location anyway but the rooms at front of the hotel are...

A perfectly good place, in a reasonably good location, reasonably good value for money, nice enough room. I certainly couldn't complain but would try something else next time. I was hoping to find something with a little more character.

We stayed here the end of September for our Honeymoon. Rome and the Rose Garden Palace was our first and favorite stop. The hotel was very nice, clean and the staff were wonderful. We especially enjoyed the free daily breakfasts that we took advantage of each morning before we took off for the day. I would definitely recommend this hotel to other travelers, its in a safe and good location and is definitely tourist friendly. We loved our stay at the Rose Garden Palace and hope to be able to return some day.

Room Tip: I heard the rooms in Italy would be small everywhere but I found this room to be spacious, the bathr...

I went there for a weekend. I did not want a big hotel and was looking for a smaller one. Rose Garden certainly fit the bill. Good location. Nice & comfortable rooms. Only complain i have is that at night (around 9.30pm) I went to fetch a glass of warm milk for my daughter (I waited in the bar and all) and they charged me 4 euros for it! Certainly not what you would expect.

Good value rooms, location, service etc but Wonderful surprise to find barely used spa with warm pool and sauna in basement reminiscent of Roman bath. Perfect for relaxing after a day of walking around Rome. Will return.

Lovely hotel, very helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious and quite complete, something for everyone's tastes. Great location, good walking area. Absolutely will return. Room was pretty contemporary, but we had a junior suite, so lots of space to move around. Free WiFi was a bonus to have in the room. Was a quiet room located on the side street.

THe Rose Garden Palace is a lovely hotel in a very good location in Rome -- across the street from the U.S. Embassy. It was walkable to many places that we were in Rome. and several bus stops were located in this block -- making it very helpful for our daily exploration of the city)
The room (corner, street side) was well-insulated and good-sized for a city hotel. THe bathroom was well stocked with lovely toiletries and large, comfortable bath towels and robes.
A great feature was the walk-in closet, which allowed us room to store our large suitcases, away from the bedroom area. This closet also had a good sized honor bar/ refrig and an easy-to-work safe for our valuables.
The elevators were most efficient. THere was a small indoor pool with attractive, well-maintained spa facilities.
The front desk staff was very helpful with a number of small matters related to our travel on this trip/
We enjoyed starting each day with a lovely buffet breakfast in the attractive glass-enclosed room overlooing the lovely rose garden.
We had a very nice stay and would definitely recommend this hotel

Room Tip: if you want a room with a city view, make sure to request one (some look out on an inner, no-view s...
