“Not good enough”
Reviewed 4 August 2013

On arrival with my wife and two sons had two rooms booked for 4 nights. On arrival our room smelt strongly of urine the staff accepted that and moved us to another room. Our sons room was fine - both rooms were clean but there was a definite smell in our original room. Next morning although we were on the fifth floor water started bubbling up onto the verandah - then we noticed the shower was filling up and the toilet blocked up, when I tried to explain the problem to one of the staff he was very abrupt & dismissive of the problem despite the fact that I was trying to tell them so they could avoid any further problems or damage. This staff member was so rude & abrupt that I complained to the Reception Manager. We had also arranged for a breakfast takeaway box for the first morning as breakfast was not served till 7.00am and we had an early tour to meet at 6.30am unfortunately this never eventuated and we had to start out tour with no breakfast.

Arrived in Rome very late in the night. We choosed this hotel for the good price and the proximity to Termini station. Everything was must like I supposed to! The night guardmen was a middle aged man who knew his work. He welcomed us very gently despite the very late time, and offered an immediate checkin giving us all the informations and hlp we need.
We get a room at the 4th floor with a large batnroom with shower. Very appreciated as the aircoditioning. The minibar was empty with no drinks inside but cold and as we asked the receptionist immediately he brougth us two cokes and two bottle of water. First nigth passed well as we were really tired for the trip. The morning we had a great breakast witn ham cheese cereals and croissant and many other foods that we can't even eat, including a tomatoe salad that we eat the next days (we spent four days in the hotel in total) and that was delicius! The place is ideal for sitesighting and very convenient for the cost. We asked to wash and press some clothes, the manager send us to a laundry just around the corner very cheap, and offered an irony machine at the fifth service that was vey helpfull! For a three stars we get an excellent service and all the staff was nice and friendly. We will get there again !

Room Tip: Our room was number 408 at the 4th floor, large and confortable with a big bathroom with window and...

My boyfriend and I stayed here for 3nights from 15th July. We choose this hotel after trailing the internet for hours try to find the perfect location at a reasonable price. I can safely we succeeded. This hotel was exactly what we were looking for. Rooms are basic but very clean with a good size bathroom. They provide you with more than enough towels, bedding and pillows without even having to ask. There is a tv in the room but no English channels. Although if u intended on staying in watch tv rome is not the place for u! We were barely in our room as there is just so much to see! The price of the room includes a continental breakfast which was very nice, there was a wide choice available ranging from cereals to scrambled eggs, I myself opted for the croissants which where delicious! There is free WiFi available in the tv lounge on the 1st floor you just ask at reception for the password. The air con took us a minute or two to figure out but once we got it it was very simple, It cooled the room very quickly which was great because the heat in July Is not for the faint of heart! Only downside was that the air con was very noisy if it was on high an if did not stay on when u left the room as the electric is powered by your key, this made charging batteries and phones a little difficult as there were only to plugs but we managed. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom but it is pretty slow going I would suggest taking your own if you have more than 10 hairs on your head!!! The bathroom also provides soap, shower gel/caps an a shoe sponge! This last item I thought was very strange until I spent my 1st day walking about! Your feet an shoes get filthy from all the dust an traffic about! The location of the hotel was superb, all but one of the major sights (vatican city) are in easy walking distance, and being so close to the termini train station was brilliant because on the odd occasion we got ourselves lost the station is always sign posted making navigation so much easier! We did not find rome as expensive as everyone said an ate out every night. Two courses plus drinks never came to more than €50 in fact most were around €40 just make sure u look at a menu before you sit down. I would highly recommend pre-booking guided tours of things such as the Vatican and colosseum because otherwise you will Que for hours an also its great to actually get the facts about what you are looking at! When we return to this remarkable city we will definitely be staying at this hotel. We have had a truely wonderful time here.

Hi, I was looking for a clean and tidy hotel near Roma Termini and had booked as per review and was not disapointed also as my expectation were not very high. Good Clean comfortable hotel with decent breakfast. Will recomend to anyone who is looking for a clean 3 start ype hotel near roma termini. Stayed with my Family and the room was comfortable though the staff is not very helpful with travel tips/advise or may be the language problem so they do not talk much.

Only disapointment was that had also arranged airport pik up but the car did not turn up and the hotel staff had an excuse that by mistake the driver went to the wrong address and the hotel staff was also not sorry for the goof up it did really happen.

But no complain about the romm got what I paid. Though have put the rating as very good but is actually good (Not very good but better then average).

Room Tip: I had opted for a triple room so the size was decent, Cannot say about the double/twin room.

Each time I go to Italy, I base myself in Rome in this lovely, clean, superb, very family-oriented, very pleasurable hotel. I simply love this hotel because you are greeted as one of the family, no matter that you don't speak italian! The location is ideal as you have access within 1 minute walk to the major Train/Bus/Taxi/Metro Station, TERMINI. If you have time, spend it there and breathe in the italian way of life. Around the hotel, there are cafes, a pharmacy, restaurants. The staff is more than friendly and helpful, and very courteous. Francesco, Tony, and others can help you with directions, booking tours, restaurants, etc. The breakfast is scrumptious, and answers all your needs, whether it be just cereals, fruits, veggies, or toasts and eggs, not to mention the coffee! Simply delicious! The Rooms are very clean, great channels on the tv and phone availability. Yes, the lift is small, but I fit in it with a suitcase and I'm, let's just say, no kate middleton (size wise). I truly recommend this hotel for all its advantages and for giving you a real sense of what Italian life is all about.

Room Tip: Call ahead !

I booked this hotel as part of a package with British Airways so was expecting good stuff. Having looked at the photos on trip advisor too (i.e the shower cubicle with a door) i thought "it will do" when in Rome!
Im not fussy, have stayed in Private hostels all across Europe for instance, but the room i was in (perhaps i just got unlucky) was really bad for a 3 star. the room was incredibly dark with only one light on the ceiling and one lamp (the other lamp was broken)

we got the double room which was incredibly small.
the bathroom was so small and there was a little drain on the floor because the shower was tiiiiny perhaps 50cm x 50cm in the corner of the bathroom but it was just a shower tray and curtain and so water went everywhere.
** NO SAFE AVAILABLE**

i wouldnt stay there again, the redeeming factor was the location . sooo close to the termini train station literally 20 sec walk.

they advertise wifi available, but it didnt work,, got stuck at "obtainign IP address" this was on multiple technical devices so wasnt my tablets fault!

breakfast was poor didnt like it; options were 3 types of cheap cereals, horrible toast, nasty cheese and cheap meats (ham). they shouldve put fruit and more options without ham in. seating area was good though. nice croissant too, tasted like krispy kreme.

lift was slow ut worked. bit scary as old fashioned!

Room Tip: rooms on the first floor are able to reach wifi of adjacent hotel... if you ask nicely they will giv...

Dear Sir/Madam,
thankyou for your review.
We really need your feedback to check what is actually working well in our property and what must be upagraded.
we are sorry that your room was small and not suitable for your needing. Please consinder that we have double room that are larger than 25 square meters and some double room smaller - no less than 18 square meters which is the minimal standar size for the italy laws - so just enquiring to our concierge desk would have been possible to get a room change.
regarding the breakfast buffet, please we understand that your are in habit with four stars hotel which can have a better (and more expansive) offer of food, but always consider that we are still a three stars category hotel and we serve mutch more that the standard of our category.
Please take a moment to read what other guests say about our breakfast buffet. Sometimes since the breakfast room close at 10.00. some clients may come for breakfast very late in the morning and of course they do not find mutch choise of foods..Maybe this is what happened you.
Thankyou again for your honest feedback, we hope sincerly to have you again as our guest in a second occasion so that we can improve our services to you and your judgment too!

Within 2 minutes of getting off the train from the airport, we were at the Hotel - straight out the main exit and 200 meters down Via Marghera. The Hotel is quite basic, but it was clean. The rooms are very small by Australian standards, but we had enough room for our bags and to move around. The bed was a little hard, but we were able to get a good nights sleep, small bathroom and really slow lift. Breakfast room was a good size and a good choice was available every day. We found the staff the be friendly and helpful. If you're arriving to or leaving Rome by train and want a good value, well located hotel, I think this is well worth considering.
