My daughter and I ended our tour of Europe in Rome. We stayed at Hotel Sonya and were happy with our the hotel..Close to the Termini Station and a good location. Rooms were very clean and big. Breakfast had a variety of cheese, cereals, meats etc.. Ivan at front desk was very helpful during our stay. Hotel was a great value for the money..

Dear Katherine

Thank you for telling us about your recent stay at the Hotel Sonya.

I'm delighted that you enjoyed our location near the Main train station, only to a few minutes from the main sights of the city. I am most pleased of all thought that you enjoyed our service which is what we work hardest at. Thank you also for your mention about our staff.

We look forward to welcoming you back.

We were very impressed with the value of this hotel. It is an easy 10 minute walk to Rome's Termini Station. It has a lift, the room has a safe, it was very clean, the staff were helpful and pleasant. Breakfast was good with a selection of cereals, bread, cheese, meats, cakes and coffees/tea. The area is safe, there is activity late at night and there are restaurants and cafes close by. It is not a "luxury" hotel, but for our two night stay, it was excellent. Rome Termini station gives you access to local buses, metro and long distance trains and transfers to the airport. This hotel couldn't be in a better location.

The hotel is close to Termini station so it's ideal if you are out n' about wanting to get around Rome. We booked a standard room online requesting a king bed (no guarantee). On arrival we were offered the king bed. The room was comfortable and presented well. The staff (non Italian nationals) were friendly and helpful. The breakfast offering was plentiful. All in all you can't go wrong. Note: the lift is a classic.....

Rooms lovely, people delightful, breakfast wonderful, elevator old fashioned and fun, location just right, area safe and lovely. Two terrific restaurants within one block. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when I return next year.

Room Tip: Don't know how to help. Only been there once.

This hotel has everything a tourist to Rome will need. The rooms are clean, the staff is friendly and the breakfast that is included every morning is ample. The hotel is a short walk from Termini Station, no need to take a cab.

We booked our room at the Opera Hotel, but were transferred to the Sonya hotel near by.
Its in excellent location, close to all the attractions. The staff were great, hospitality was very welcoming. Breakfast buffet was delicious and had a variety to choose from.
The rooms are tiny, but don't expect anything bigger is Europe - its a waste of time to stay in the room anyway in Rome.
We recommend this hotel for everyone, just keep in mind the elevator is old and you might need to wait for a long time, or just climb the beautiful stairs.

Room Tip: ask for the front rooms - you have the Opera Theater and the nice small streets around it.

We loved everything about Hotel Sonya Roma, The reservation process by email was easy, the 8% cash discount (ATM 50 steps down the street), the friendly staff and of course the breakfast. By the end of our stay, the server knew which drinks each of us wanted as we sat down. On the last morning when we had to catch an early train, which we told them the day before, he brought all the drinks even before we were all downstairs to eat.

Our room was on the 5th floor and the elevator was slow, so we hiked the stairs, but you can always wait for the elevator if you want. Put your room key in the slot for electricity, including the air conditioning. There was a remote control to turn on the AC which was buried under my husband's stuff for a couple of days, but when I found it, the room was nice and cool, so find that remote before piling your stuff on the desk.

We will stay at Hotel Sonya Roma again when we come back to Roma to see the Trevi Fountain with running water.
