Had a brilliant 4 days in Rome and this hotel was superb (one of the best I've stayed in) ~ our room was nicely furnished, had a good sized bathroom (with loadsa space for toiletries) and had loads of character. And, a Roman ruin just out the door!

C19th builiding was great with a lovely courtyard where we took our breakfast to enjoy and last thing at night for a few Limincello's and to stroke the gorgeous black cat that turned up most of the time we were there. The modern twist of the paintings was good too, very interesting.

The breakfast was simple, the fresh fruit excellent (one mark off for the eggs in te same dish with the bacon... we're veggie) ~ nothing fancy, just a nice, relaxing start to the day.

The people manning the desk were charming and helpful, couldn't fault them (saw someone on here criticse them, they couldn't have been better to us).

Just around the corner (50yards) is a couple of resturaunts (they don't look like much, but we had our best meal in one of them... I have posted a photo of it!!), a take-a-way pizza place (good), a gelataria and an off-licence... to be honest, the area beyond the street the hotel is on is a bit nasty, but one or two blocks towards the termini is a street with 4 resturaunts on and these too were excellent.

Hello MikeySunderland , Sunderland ! I consider a very important recognition the 5 out of 5 in your rating concerning your experience in Rome. I am very happy when one of our guests in Rome does as the Romans do, in the morning breakfast in the courtyard, a very good pizza by slice ( just round the corner), then an ice cream at Fassi (2 blocks) and last thing at night few Limincello's. Your comments raised a big smile on the faces of all of us, and I with much satisfaction have shared your review with our staff . Concerning your diet, if you would come again to visit us, let us know and tell us what you would desire to have for breakfast and I will tray to comply with your vegan diet. I thank you again for sharing your experience in Rome with us. Warm regards. Maria Magdalena Wilkes, Managing Director

The Emona Aquaductus is a lovely place to spend a couple nights. Room/bathroom were small but clean, comfortable, and charming. Really interesting art/decoration that helps the place feel cool & different. Very nice helpful staff. AWESOME buffet breakfast - everything very fresh and tasty.
The location is a little out of the way - nice to be away from the highly trafficked tourist zones, but means a lot of walking. Tip: don't try to drag your bags there from the train station, it's longer than it looks on the map. Just get a taxi.

We walked to the Collesium in 20 or so minutes. So location iso not bad and close to the train station.
Rooms are dated and bathroom not the best.
However the breakfast was great and served in a lovely place. Eggs and bacon, fruit and a proper espresso or cappuccino in the morning.
I didn't pay to much, but wouldn't go back. Mostly because the rooms were so dated.

Love this hotel! We stayed for 2 nights and had a really good time. The building is really cool, and the rooms are well maintained. The staff is very friendly and helped us with a lot of things during our visit. All the art in hotel is from the daughter of the family who owns the hotel, and she will probably be u big star in few years, amazing art!

We've stayed for few days in this hotel. The room was small but not too bad. Bathroom was disappointing, with very tiny shower space and literally no place to put shampoo and soap. Toiletries were also disappointing considering hotel's rating. Breakfast was basic and reasonable, nothing extraordinary. Service was... How can I put it? Indifferent, I suppose would be the best way to describe it. All in all, we should not complain because the cost was under USD 100 as online deal. But I would not recommend this hotel for anything more than that.

We only stayed here one night but we thought it was a cool little hotel. It's easy to get to from the main train station if you just get on the tram - it takes less than ten minutes. It is also a pretty easy walk, maybe 1.5km, although I wouldn't do it with luggage. Once you get off the tram it's a two minute walk and then you're in the hotel's courtyard which is a very nice, shady place to sit. The neighbourhood seemed to be safe and is a cool mixture of old ruins and newer buildings.
Our room was clean, quiet and average size by European standards.
The breakfast was what you would expect for a free, continental breakfast. No complaints - there was toast, fruit, cereal, yogurt and some hot foods like eggs and sausage.
We didn't have much time to interact with staff but the man at the front desk was friendly.
The hotel isn't very close to the attractions, but like I said the tram is close by so it's easy to take public transport wherever you want to go. Me and my boyfriend walked to Trevi fountain, Vatican city and along the riverfront so if you're fit and like to walk it's definitely possible, although it is quite a walk.

The hotel is in an older building that is very well-maintained. It has beautiful terrazzo floors and a lovely garden. The room was comfortable and breakfast was very good and had variety. It is in a mixed neighborhood of residences and businesses. If you arrive from the train station, I suggest taking a taxi if you have luggage because it is 1.3 mile to the hotel. The metro is not a good option with luggage because of many steps down and back up. You need to take transportation to the tourist sites. If you have a vehicle, this is a great place because they have parking. The staff was very nice and helpful. It is a lovely hotel.
