“Lovely Hotel in an Amazing City”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 July 2014 via mobile

When my boyfriend and i arrived for our 3 night stay at the Diana Roof Garden Hotel, the staff on reception were helpful and friendly and we were checked in quickly.
The room itself was 618.. over looking the main street but the noise level from below wasnt an issue.
The room itself was very clean and well presented if not alittle small .. smaller than we were expecting for a 4*.
The roof garden was nice.. however the views over the city were fairly restricted. The bar was quiet and could do with music of some kind but the bar staff Franko and Vincenzo were friendly and offered service with a smile.
Breakfast was also nice and there was plenty of food to choose from.
Location wise it couldnt have been better. Right next to the terminal station and the stops for the hop on and hop off buses are right outside. Overall we loved the holiday and the hotel served us very well.

The location was good, close to the train station. You can get around the city by subway easily. The room was basic, nothing special. The bathrooms were clean. The breakfast was very good and you get to enjoy it on a nice roof.

After reading some of the reviews on trip advisor for this hotel I arrived there on the 21st June 2014 with some trepidation, which was totally uncalled for.

The hotel is a 4 to 5 star, the bedroom was spectacular, spotlessly clean, bed so comfortable - could have done with two chairs in bedroom instead of just the 1.

Massive bath/shower room you could eat your food off of the floor. Loads of complementary bathing soaps/shampoos etc and even a free shoe polisher :).

The view from the hotel was great lovely tall windows, which let in cool breeze.

The roof restaurant was out of this world with very helpful staff, the service was top notch. Food was brilliant. But larger was a tad expensive. 6 euros for one small bottle

The rooms are not air conditioned but we just left windows open with blinds down and it was perfectly cool.

Reception, lounge area in hotel all air conditioned with sumptuous seats, bar coffee area, with free coffee water and bites all morning. Several lifts dotted about the hotel, roof restaurant terrace on 7th floor - view outstanding.

Centralised to all the main sites in Rome.

The only thing I did not agree with was the charges for TV, so I did not use it - lol. It was 10 euros per night.

I would go there again at the drop of a hat.

This hotel was only a couple of blocks from the Terminii station. No taxi needed when coming to Rome by train. It has nice sized rooms and a large bathroom with excellent water pressure in the shower. It includes breakfast (not bad) and free water, chips in the room minibar. We had helpful staff during our visit. Would stay again!

Over our whole Europe trip this was the most disappointed hotel stay, the staff were not overly concerned by our needs and not very helpful at all even when checking out, not even a good bye, hotel staff were not great. The location was good although if you have a car there is very limited space and can be costly! the rooms were basic although we did expect more..!! we was over charged at the end and felt there was a hassle by the staff every time we requested for something. VERY DISAPOINTED. If we could turn the clock's back we would have stayed in a much cheaper hotel as there is allot to do in Rome and really only need a basic room to sleep at night and our overall impression of the other hotel's seem to get rated low also in Rome compared to other city's.

My grandaughter and I spent 5 days at the Hotel Diana. It is convenient to the railway station and walkable to most of the tourist sites. The staff was cordial and helpful. Our room (530), while not large, was clean and sufficient for our needs. Breakfast on the rooftop garden was a delight, the view was incredible. The waitstaff were pleasant and spoke limited English (we spoke limited Italian). Franco the bartender is a delight.

I stayed in this hotel for one night , and the first positive point I would say is the location. 1 minute walking from Termini Railway station. Nice and quiet room, confy shower ,good quality of towels and matress and free wi-fi in all areas. Lots af different channels on Tv .
Excellent service at the reception and friendly staff at the breakfast room.
Breakfast is good and varied and if you wish, you can have it in the roof garden, with beautiful views of Rome.
Rooms have independent A/C and it really worked as i wanted.

Room Tip: Interior rooms, are really quiet .
