My husband and I recently spent four nights at the Hotel Isa and we would definitely be back.
The location was great - a five minute walk from the Lepanto Metro station and ten minute walk from the Vatican.
The breakfast terrace is simply beautiful with a choice of seating inside and out and views of St Peter's dome.
The food is wonderful...and plentiful. There's a never ending supply of fresh orange juice and cappucinos all served up by cheerful members of staff. The breakfasts here kept us going ALL day.
My only word of caution...make sure you're not given rooms 100 or 101. They're the only two rooms on the first floor and are small and dingy. We were given room 100 our first night and we asked to be moved the following morning. In addition to being small...one of the bedside lamps was broken and the shower was a lukewarm dribble.
The hotel is being renovated so hopefully these rooms will be upgraded in the not too distant future.
The second room was wonderful.

We stayed for two nights and were very pleased with the hotel, situated within walking distance from the Vatican. Our room on the 5th floor was large and had a little terrace overlooking the road, very nice to sit there in the sun in the late afternoon and watch the scene below. The bathroom was clean and spacious, although more hot air came from the split flex on the hairdryer than out of the nozzle! The breakfast terrace had wonderful views of central Rome.

We could have done without the late-night noise from the wedding party going on in the breakfast terrace area on the 6th floor, followed by the chairs and tables being dragged back into position by the staff after the last noisy guests had shouted their way out of the hotel, but hey. It stopped eventually.

Worst bit: not being able to get anything to eat and drink at all in the hotel after breakfast hours.

There were two very stylish lounges in the hotel, recently refurbished and all done in black and white. Hidden away in the back of one of them is a superb cloakroom. Check it out.

Overall it was a very pleasant stay.

The hotel is in a great location within walking distance to many sights. The lobby is in beautiful condition and the breakfast terrace is beautiful. The rooms are nice, a little small. Make sure to ask for a room not on the street side because it might be loud. Really a great value for Rome and was a great experience.

We have decided to book this hotel after reading reviews from this website. We stayed there for 5 nights and I have to say we did enjoy our stay a lot. The breakfast terrace was fantastic, with great view on the roof. We stayed on the 4th floor and our room was quite big and clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The only downside was the lift which sometimes did not work. Unfortunately, that happened twice during our stay but other things made up for it. I would also like to recommend a restaurant nearby called San Marco, via Tacito, which was always busy with locals and tourists. The price was reasonable and food was excellent. The hotel is located near the Vatican and you can walk to other attractions on the other side of the river.

This was a beautiful hotel! at first we were thrown off at the reception it looked a little torn down and old but they were just redecorating once you get upstairs the hallways are very nicely decorated and the rooms are HUGE!!! i couldn't believe it so much space and satelite tv! not that you care for tv but during breaks it was nice to listen to english television! Also i found the maids cleaned better then any of the other maids we've had at previous hotels! it was also close to everything we had an easy time to walk to all the nice sites and if we couldnt walk there was a metro close enough too us and bus stop close by also! i will deff be recomending this hotel to everyone! and will be coming back to it for sure!
