We lived at this hotel during thanksgiving 2013. The basilica, church, gardens and many points of interest like spanish steps are all close by. You are also close to a train station Vempano that can get you to any of the points of interest including Roman ruins and Colosseum. Breakfast is included and is served at the terrace. Pretty decent spread. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are fairly decent size, bigger than hotels in Paris for sure. You will need to take a shuttle bus from FCO airport to get to the hotel and they are only once every hour so plan your airport transfers accordingly. With proximity to so many things nearby it is also in a crowded part of town so you can get stuck in traffic in the peak tourist traffic hours. This is especially important for bus transfers so that you time your trip back to the airport in advance. You can also take the train but there is a transfer and you do have to take your luggage for about 0.75 miles. On the whole , really liked the place, very warm staff, really good rooms with HD cable (no english channels except BBC), proximity to everything Vatican

You can't beat the location if you want walking access to the Vatican and other great areas of Rome. The room was clean quiet (we were on the 4th floor) and the service very good. I only have a few suggestions: the hair dryers are very dated and hardly worth using. The breakfast was excellent, but the coffee was simply dreadful and tasted reheated. I leaned to get the cappuccino freshly made from the service counter and skip the regular coffee. The fire in the lounge was very relaxing and most welcome after coming back from a chilly walk around the city. The staff was very friendly and courteous.
This was our second stay at the Isa and we plan to be back on our next trip to Rome!

Room Tip: Higher rooms seem to be more quiet; it's also a quick walk up to the Garden rooftop restaurant.

Not trendy, but great room (superior, 5th floor), very clean, great and helpful staff, delicious breakfast (8/10) with pretty good coffee. I guess the roof terrace is great during summer - yeah, why did we came in November???
Do not miss the fireplace in the lobby, great room to hang around with a book... ;)

Room Tip: 5th (top) floor, superior rooms are great equipped, howerver a little "old looking", like it was trendy in the 80ies...
