Nice hotel at a very good location. Friendly staff, good breakfast (prosecco - aaah!), nice athmosphere. The roof terrace is great, very nice view.

The rooms are small, our bathroom was spacious, but friends of ours on the other hand had very small one. Some traffic noise, but it cannot be avoided...

I would stay again and recommend this hotel, unless you have many large suitcases...

Great hotel, friendly and helpfull staff, lovely room, great view, great breakfast and it's very close to Vatican city (amazing St Peter's Basilica view from the hotel roof terrace). In the street Via Cicerone, there are a lot of busses that bring you to the Colosseum and other places.

I would definitely recommend this hotel!

Well where do i start with this one,i booked my honeymoon via last minute .com.They took care of everything.(or so i thought). We booked the Isa design hotel on the basis of there internet ads.First of all reviewing the hotel left us believing it had a restaurant for evening meals, concidering several of the pictures in there brochure showed an evening in the restaurant, depicting the beautiful night lights of the hotel and Vatican.Im afraid no such thing,it only opened for breakfast.with a bar till 11.30 at night but no food.the rooms in the picture were very much less than what we expected and disappointING we wont be booking that hotel again..the whole saga started with last minute and Vueling airlines.Vueling sent me an e-mail telling me of a change in flights by five minutes on our way back(strange i thought)but then a week before going they changed the flights again, this time telling me i had to stay an extra night in Rome and another in Barcelona as well, all at my exspence, not arriving back till 12th of June instead of the 10th.several e-mails later all they would do was cancel our return flights and refund that part of our money with a cancelation fee of course, leaving us to rebook another flight home.guess what we actually booked the very same flights home to Tenerife as original except to north Tenerife,at a higher rate of course.Im afraid all this has left me with a very depleted confidence both in LAST MINUTE .COM and Vueling AIRLINES.I WILL HOWEVER ADD THAT Rome Itself was wonderful but the price of a pint was seriously ott.

Room Tip: try another hotel

The room was ok. We booked a triple room which had one double and a camp bed. The extra bed was uncomfortable though and difficult to sleep on. The bathroom shower didn't have a screen which meant water all over the floor all of the time.

Breakfast was nice. Amazing eggs. Staff a little abrupt though.

We would stay somewhere else next time though. We kept getting lost when trying to find the hotel which was annoying.

Overall it is fine, not amazing but fine.

A great location, well within comfortable walking distance of all the main attractions (very close to the Vatican) but away from all the hustle and bustle of a city centre.
Rooms were clean, tidy and well appointed, a good nights sleep in a very comfortable bed.
The rooftop area was a delight with views to St Peter's making the sundowners even more enjoyable. Breakfast also served in this area - brilliant!
Staff were efficient and friendly.
Highly recommended

Room Tip: Inside rooms have balconies but no views.

We stayed for 5 nights in May 2014 in a deluxe room. All in all we were pleased with the stay and I can recommend this hotel. I'm still going to start with the negative aspects.

-

1. dusty floor in room

We got a bathrobe and slippers. One day after coming home my slippers were somewhat moved to a different place and they were extremely dusty. But then it was still cleaner than it usually is in my apartment. There is room for improvement

2. Elevator

small, old and slow. Staff sometimes blocks it for rather long times. We were on the fifth floor and hence after a long day had no motivation to walk up.

3. Rooftop terrace

somewhat dirty. It's by no means terrible but there are leaves and dirty/earth in the corners and below the plants. Tables are usually dusty and covered in pollen I assumed. Anyway, this could be improved with a lot with very little work...For the price range of the hotel I would expect that.

4. Rooms balcony

Was towards the back/side of the hotel in an ugly "back yard". No view, very unpleasant. Did not use it once.

5. The safe has a key

meaning you need to carry it along all day and not lose it. One would expect a safe with a programmable numeric code in a hotel of this price class

Now the positive aspects. The room was pretty big. Much bigger than in a similar priced hotel in Barcelona. I can recommend this. It wasn't that much more expensive and the space is nice. There are 2 closets for hanging closes, not very big but enough for a 5 day stay. In one of them there is a safe. (Note: Ask for the key to the safe at reception). The bathroom was huge for a European hotel, in fact it was larger than my own bathroom. There was only a shower however, no bath tub but thats fine with me.

+

1. Breakfast

eggs, bread, "meat" (eg. ham, salami and that stuff), cereal, fruits and fruit juices. Everything you need. You can eat enough to skip lunch entirely if you like

2. Rooftop bar

Recommendable too. It's not cheap but you get tons of free snacks/appetizers for each order. Nice atmosphere.

3. Size of room

Deluxe room, pretty big for a hotel.

4. location

You can walk to dinner, you can walk to Vatican and Piazza Navona. In general the main attractions are all pretty close together. You can easily walk to the Colosseum if you want to. Not that far.

5. close to bus stop and subway

Subway is close by, maybe 5-7 min walk. Or you could take the bus to the subway or directly to the place of choice.

6. Staff was friendly and helpful

no complaints

Room Tip: We had a Deluxe Room and the room number was 510. It looked better than most rooms in the pictures...

This Hotel is good. I had booked a family room, however, my family were given separate rooms which had an adjoining balcony. This is not ideal unless you have teenage children. The buffet breakfast on the roof top was delicious and the view was stunning. There was a large selection of foods including omelettes and bacon. There were also a large selection of drinks including tea, coffee, orange and sparkling wine.

The hotel is near the Vatican (5-10mins walking distance). Unfortunately, other attractions, like the coliseum were quite far away. The Trevi fountain and Spanish steps are in 15mins walking distance.

The staff were very helpful and polite at all times. During the stay, it was my birthday. Willy kindly bought down a cake and some sparkling wine. We also went to the rooftop bar, you could see St Peters Basilica lit up, it was picturesque.

Our rooms were also very clean. Towels were changed every day.

Overall the hotel was very good but the family room was a bit of a disappointment! :P

Room Tip: Don't book a family room if you have young children.
