“Great introduction to Italy”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 July 2014

We arrived at Bailey's Hotel after arriving from Canada. We were treated to a free café while we waited for our room to be ready as we had arrived early. We stayed a total of 4 nights. We found the staff at the front desk VERY helpful. They have a pad of maps that they readily pull out to give simple directions. They were patient with our many questions! The hotel was clean and well located for our needs. We would stay there again!

Family of 2 adults and 3 teenage children stayed in July in a family room which are 2 rooms interconnecting. The staff are 5/5, just awesome. They are extremely helpful and their restaurant recommendations are sensational. The hotel is well located within walking distance of some attractions (15mins to Spanish Stairs). The rooms are pretty small which is on the downside with one of our rooms being internal with no natural light.

Stayed one night before a cruise. The hotel is clean and quiet staff helpful and a fair location.
Breakfast was good buffet style enjoyed all however scrambled egg's were very salty but no major problem. Front of house staff helpful with transport pick-ups. I loved the room we were in so much better than the bland big chains... would stay again. Wi-Fi not so good but not end of the world as only here one night, for those who need assistance the hotel has a elevator.

We have just returned from a 2 night city break and stayed at the baileys hotel Rome. The minute we walked in he staff made our trip! They couldn't do enough for us from how to get to the sites to recommending top restaurants. Amazing place in an amazing city.

Rooms were lovely and breakfast was plentiful. The staff even opened up breakfast 15 minutes early so we could get to the Vatican City for 7.15 ... Oh and they organised the taxi and the fare was exactly what they said it would be!

Gerald and the team here at the baileys hotel really make this place exceptional!

Stayed total of 6 nights in a Family room - adjoining double and triple bed rooms. Overall experience was excellent. Hotel is away from the busy city but close enough to walk everywhere. Close to Termini train station so convenient to/from airport and for travelling elsewhere in Italy. Staff were extremely helpful, especially Mirko and Fabio, and went over and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was nothing fancy but included. Excellent restaurants and gelato nearby. Rooms were air conditioned however the thermostats were set with a lower limit so room temperatures could not be lowered beyond a certain point.
Great experience, would definitely return for future visits.

The Bailey Hotel. Great location and excellent hotel. Great 4 star hotel in the financial district of Rome. My wife and I stayed here for five nights from June 6 to June 11, 2014. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful . Especially Gerald, who not only upgraded our room, but also provided great recommendations on activities, food and local knowledge. Thanks again. He also has great sense of humor. Our room was the super deluxe on the first floor (Room 103). Very large room by any standard, King size bed and grey marble bathroom. Breakfast was included was part of our reservations; Served from 7:00 to 10:00 daily. Salted scrambled eggs, salami, and ham and cheese platter. Also excellent choice of pastries and rolls. The glazed croissants are must and really tasty. There were some down sides at this hotel. First was the intermittent wireless / WiFi, OK nonexistent internet. Even the front desk hardwired connection didn’t work at times during our stay. This made making reservations and or ticket purchases a very hard task. Second was the bathroom door stop, beautiful marble bathroom, golf ball size marble door stop right in front of the toilet. OUCH! That being said I would book another room here without hesitation. The hotel is convenient to both Metro and Train Station. D’Angelo ‘s is directly across the street. Best Pizza in Rome right down the street (Tripadvisor). Several bodega’s located within blocks and easy walking distance from hotel.

Room Tip: Upgrade if given the opportunity.

Visited Rome with my wife and 4 of my friends. We are in the age range of 25-35.

Let me start off by saying that we enjoyed Rome as a city. So much history, the streets were live, and fun was had by all.

However the Bailey Hotel was less than desirable.

Rooms - dark & dreary.
The hotel had no irons or ironing boards.
Rooms were hot, we were told that they controlled the air from downstairs. Never heard that before.

One of the staff broke my friends luggage and they didn't want to repair it.

The complimentary breakfast was plentiful but the eggs were too salty.
The WIFI is the absolute worst. Very spotty.

Would return to Rome but would look elsewhere to stay.
