Nice staff all around. Staff were always, very helpful. Room was small with very tiny shower. Room had excellent view and large balcony. Restaurant recommendations by hotel staff were just ok. Breakfast is outstanding with lots of good things to eat and many items are baked on location. Very courteous breakfast staff and helpful as well. Very close to the square and all that goes on there.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a tub! They do have larger rooms.

My wife and Myself visited Rome this May for a our sons wedding we had a choice between the hotel Validier and Piranesi. We chose the Piranesi ( Double Standard room) based on the reviews on trip advisor and that the noise level at the Valideir seemed to be a issue for most of the reviewers.
We had a wonderful stay and the staff was pleasant and attentive. Only 2 negative comments The AC seems to get turned down at night w spoke to the front desk and it was turned up and the shower in our room was the smallest shower in the world. No kidding I am not a slim person (5'8 225) and I literally had to squeeze through the shower door.
I would suggest upgrading to the next level as the terrace rooms seemed much nicer and spacious and the view of the Villa Borghese is fantastic and there is a partial view of the piazza

Most of the other guests for the wedding stayed at the Hotel Valideir around the corner and that was more of a party scene I would probably recommend that hotel to the younger visitors. The rooms and price seemed comparable and the rooftop terrace is more of a bar / restaurant at that hotel and we enjoyed visiting our family and friends there

We definitely made the correct choice for us The location was great the staff was great. The room we had was quiet but small and we had a few decent a nights sleep The Bar and courtyard at the Piranesi were a good place for a nice quiet drink and to unwind after walking all day and the location and view could not be beat The breakfast was just ok and there is a extra charge for scrambled eggs
This is a nice, Quiet, Clean and well maintained hotel but beware of the tiny shower

Room Tip: We stayed on the courtyard side of the 4th floor. The room was very small but well equipped. we aske...

I had never been to Rome before and we had the most marvelous time in this remarkable city and at this lovely hotel. The staff are FANTASTIC; so pleasant and SO helpful, with great recommendations. Facilities are very clean and pretty. Very quiet, with hardly any one around. Lovely breakfast room with terrific offerings every morning. Quiet small lobby, a cozy bar and wonderful rooftop patios, all offering free internet. Views from the roof are glorious. Location of hotel is ideal. We walked to everything: piazzas, shopping, dining and all the best tourist sights. I highly recommend staying in the little hotel. The only thing to be aware is the shower was tiny, so if you are XL, this may not work for you. Also, Lucca at the front desk really saved us. We realized our credit card was missing the morning we were checking out and suspected we had forgotten it at the restaurant the night before. Restaurant wasn't open yet and we had a train to catch. Lucca contacted the restaurant, got the card and destroyed it and phoned us in Florence to tell us all was well. Wonderful help! Thank you Lucca!

The huge advantage of this hotel is its great location - just a minute's walk from Via del Corso and less than that to Piazza del Popolo (where there is a metro station - Flaminio - that connects you by metro to the main train station, Termini). But that's not all - it really is a lovely little hotel, very clean and bright and well furnished and maintained. Breakfast was simple but adequate. Staff very helpful. Great restaurant around the corner called Il Brillo - lovely tasty food. My only negative comment is that the room we were given overlooked huge very noisy air conditioning fans. My husband and I are deep sleepers so they didn't trouble us too much, but if you are a light sleeper it could be a problem. All of the rooms at the back of the hotel overlook these fans so difficult to avoid unless you take a room overlooking the street. The windows are quite well soundproofed, but if you want to open your window at night it could be an issue. As I said, it did not bother me and I would book the hotel again.

Room Tip: See overall review - choose street facing rooms to avoid A/C unit noise.

Great small hotel situated at the Piazza del Popolo at the north end of Roma with the great walking street the Via del Corso as direct access into the “Heart of Roma” and the Via del Babiuno south to the great upscale shopping in the area of the Piazza di Spagna. Friendly attentive service with attention to children was quite noticeable. Rooms were clean / comfortable and the outdoor patio area off the lobby was a welcome convenience along with the multi-level roof top lounge area with a view over the surrounding area.

My wife and I spent the better part of October touring Italy. We stayed at small boutique hotels in Milan , Bellagio,Sienna, San Gimingnano,Cinque Terre and Firenze. All were wonderful and met our expectations. Perhaps our best choice was the Hotel Piranesi in Rome. Small, charming and centrally located in the heart of Rome. It is a stones throw from the Piazza del Popolo which also contains the Santa Maria church (one of its chapels was designed by Raphael and Bernini). The hotel is within walking distance of the Spanish steps and all the chic shops located along the via del Babuino and the via del Corso. The staff at the hotel was highly efficient, very helpful, friendly and hospitable. Everyone from the Manager/Concierge to the bellmen, maids and the women who took care of breakfast treated us like family. The suite we had was nicely apportioned, clean and comfortable. A roof top terrace was another convenient attraction. The staff was also extremely knowledgeable about restaurants in the area and very helpful in making the appropriate reservations for us. The hotel staff also arranged for a limo to pick us up at the train station and for a limo to take us to the airport when we left. Although more expensive than a taxi it was well worth the cost. Overall a gem of a place in a perfect location.
