I spent three nights with my family at Hotel Anglo Americano in July 2011. We had a family room on the top floor. This was not a standard room with two extra beds crammed in, but looked like it had actually been planned as a family room with four beds. The room was of a reasonable size.
All in all the hotel was ok, but rather a standard mid-quality hotel. Breakfast was a bit below average. Breakfast in Italy is never a big thing, but plasic glasses, things constantly missing on the not too good buffet and a breakfast room so packed that you often had to queue for a table did not help.
We arrived on a Saturday, and the electronic key system had broken down, so we could not get our own key until Monday. Every time we wanted to enter our room, we had to be followed up by someone to open the door for us. A bit inconvenient, but something that the hotel could not help.
Except for the breakfast room, service was generally good, the only exception being a elderly, male receptionist who reminded my of the principal in my old school and made me fell a bit nervous...
