Hotel was centrally located only one block from metro. Rooms were clean and roomy. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful, and the breakfast rooms were very nice Would definitely stay again.

Arrived at 2000 at hotel to check in. Lobby had one person on desk. Was told to wait and shown to the seats in the breakfast area. Others came during this time for information (not to check in) they were served before we were called. After 26hrs of travelling this was an annoying start to the holiday. Was given room 706. 7t65h floor when elevator only goes to 6th floor. Room was hot as we walked in but they assured us that the airconditioner was only just switched on. Had shower and headed out for dinner. Returning from dinner we found the room still hot. As it was late we slept in the room that night and complained in the morning before we headed out to Trevi. Was told they would have a look at the airconditioner. When we returned at lunch time they informed us that the airconditioner was working fine. Told them that we could not stay in that room for our 8 days. They changed rooms and asked us to pack our belongings and they would move them. Headed out again and returned 4 hours later. Went into new room and it was much better BUT 3 single beds. As this was a wedding anniversary really needed that fixed AND our bags were nowhere to be seen. Went to lobby and asked to sort those items out. Bags were moved fairly quickly after that but beds took several more hours to get sorted (pushed two single beds togethers and used double bed linen). Once these teething issues were sorted they hoitel was ok. Breakfast was fine and plenty of food although sausages and eggs were luke warm at best. The best coffee latte that we drank in Rome and wonderful location, close to trevi, spanish steps etc. Walking distance to most major attractions and 200 metres away from a metro train stop and buses nearby.

Room Tip: Don't accept rooms on level 7 in summer time. I am sure that these rooms are built in the room...

Hotel - Just come back on Tuesday from our stay here, and it is in a brilliant location. Trevi fountain is just a 5-10 minute walk one way, the Spanish steps are about the same distance up another road, and the Colosseum which we walked to also took us about half an hour (we were walking slow though).
Breakfast at the hotel was nice, if you want english tea, you have to ask for a tea bag as they dont leave them out, but everything else is left out for you. Breakfast finishes at 10, our group of 5 always went down about 9 when it was quite busy, so if you have a bigger group, go earlier, however, we never had trouble getting seats together.
Rooms were air conditioned and you could set this to how you needed it so our sleep was lovely, beds are also very comfortable. It was also very spacious.

Rome- One note that disappointed the holiday was that the trevi fountain looked a little like a construction site as it had some work doing on it (apparently something to do with rain that damaged part of the structure)
Weather was really good, only rained once for half an hour and then just stopped. Best time to go to Rome is in July for the weather though.
If you are going to Vatican city or Colosseum, I recommend ordering tickets online as it is much cheaper.

Overall, hotel was amazing, even more so because of the location. I would recommend the hotel and staff are friendly. I would definitely book this hotel again.

Room Tip: triple rooms were bigger size than the double. We was on floor 5 which was nice.

Stayed here with my brother this weekend just gone. Great location, really central to everything so you can walk basically everywhere and if you want to go to the Vatican you can get the tube from just outside the hotel in the square. The room was an okay size for a few days, (might be a bit small for a longer stay) rooms were clean. The beds were a little hard, but again not an issue for a few days stay. Breakfast was very basic and there aren't very many tables. I suggest you get down there early as it gets busy around 9 oclock and its basically impossible to get a table.
On the website it says free Wi-Fi but it was pay for (although it was only 1 euro for 2 hours).
Staff were fairly helpful and looked after our bags for us after we had checked out as our flight was not until late. Lots of nice restaurants within walking distance and a great ice cream shop right round the corner. Overall the hotel was nice, but probably just got a short stay.

Room Tip: We had a room at the back so there was little outside noise.

We stayed here after a 23 day cruise a little disappointed in the room our cabin on the ship was larger. Location very good as we could walk Everywhere. Choose a room at the back if possible no street noise. Breakfast very European so no bacon & eggs Staff pleasant but not overly helpfull felt like at times we were intruding on their day. I honestly do not think they will be overly worried by bad reviews as they seem to have plenty of business. My advice try to find somewhere else.

Stayed here for a couple of days before a five star cruise and the chasm between this hotel and five or even four stars is beyond description.
Firstly the reception staff are typically irritated that they might actually have to do anything for you. The room itself had a cupboard in front of the window, a noisy air con and melamine furniture. Although the room was clean the bathroom had mould around the bath. Mind you, the shower was powerful and hot. Why would a four star hotel merely cover two single beds pushed together with a single sheet and make out its a double? The breakfast room was unappealing but I had to request a tea bag which was given to me out of a cupboard by a bar man who merely grunted whilst throwing it onto the bar. However, my main gripe was the broken TV which I brought to the attention of front desk. That was clearly annoying for them but the lovely porter guy who came to fix it expressed his understanding because he knew he had no chance of making it work and it wasn't just the batteries. So my actual front desk complaint at the end of two days at the ANGLO AMERICAN with a choice of a 100 Italian TV channels was met with a shrug by the elderly front desk guy who basically said it could be reprogrammed if I was staying. In case he hadn't noticed I had been staying. I had asked for help each day. I wasn't unreasonable. I was at a four star hotel and actually I wanted the service I had paid for. Two stars would be about right and feel more pleasant if the staff smiled.

We stayed at the Anglo Americano from May 12-15. I booked a room for three people and it was more than adequate. Of course we were not in the room much because we were always out sightseeing, but when we were in the room we were very comfortable. The staff were all very nice and whenever I asked for something they responded immediately. There is plenty of food for breakfast. They also have a man who makes cappuccino upon request but he must not like his job because he was not very pleasant and was very rude. Stefano at the front desk was very helpful and sweet.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 416. Never heard any hallway noise. Very clean. Provided shampoo and toiletries
