So, think you need to be clear which is the hotel and which is the hostel - they are different and separate. I am reviewing the hotel. Friendly, helpful reception staff. Room is absolutely fine. Just right size, good bathroom, shower is good. Quiet rooms in terms of noise from street, but walls are thin!
The breakfast however is dreadful! It is budget, cheap and nasty. The fruit is tinned fruit cocktail, the big jug of milk is longlife etc. it's a shame, because with a bit of thought, it could be great.

Just returned from a 3 night stay at this hotel. It was excellent. The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The rooms were spacious and clean and the shower and bathroom were great. The beds were very comfy. Having stayed recently at a 4 star hotel in Rome, which was so disappointing I returned and stayed here. This hotel is rated 3 star but it is far superior to the previous one. I did suggest before leaving that the only improvement I thought they could make was to add some fairy lights to the roof terrace and put a small bar up there. I would not hesitate to recommend this.

I'm a female traveller travelling with another girl and we had booked a 2 bed dorm. Everything seemed fine until they put a random guy into our room without even letting us know - we had to complain at the front desk and staff admitted they made a mistake but would / could not accommodate our new roommate in a room of his own. To "compensate" they offered a free drink from the fridge - we should have gotten a discount off our stay since we weren't receiving the two bed room we had booked and paid upfront for.

Honestly the rest of our trip without the unexpected roommate was pleasant but our awkward first night experience left a bad taste in out mouths.

Friend and I booked a 2-bed room in hostel section, and they tried to stick another guest in room with us our first night. When we complained offered us a free bottled drink from their fridge as compensation... What?? Rooms clean/comfy enough.

Our group of 10 stayed here 1-night prior to start of cruise out of Civitavecchia (Rome cruiseport). Took Leonardo Express train from FCO airport to Station Termini (main train station). Saved money buying a book (carnet) of 10 tickets at airport shop. Walked maybe 10 mins. to hotel. Warm, friendly greeting on arrival. Nicely decorated rooms, comfortable beds, & full breakfast buffet. Rooms were spread across 3 locations, all close by. At hotel's request, we took 4 rooms instead of 5 (1 room had 1 double & 2 single beds). Hotel gave the newlyweds in our group the nicest room (3*) & a bottle of sparkling wine. Paid 2 euro pp tax on-site. Tried the pizza shop around the corner recommended by hotel. The "rossa" pizza, covered with cherry tomatoes, was very good; the others were just OK. To get to the cruise port, we walked back to the train station & used a kiosk to buy 10 tickets to Civitavecchia. Watch for hustlers near trains, trying to validate already-validated tickets &/or lift luggage onto trains & then demand payment &/or begging on trains prior to departure. Hotel was in a great location. Walked to many of the local sites, including Trevi fountain. Wear good walking shoes; cobblestones are hard on feet. Hotel was good value for money. We'd definitely stay again.

The place is ok but it is way overpriced. The rooms are very modest, no kettle and aircon is not working. Room service is bad, they forgot our towels after cleaning the room and it took them 1 hr to bring it in after 5 reminders. The list can go on. Conclusion - real 2 stars not 3.
