“Not a 4*”
Reviewed 9 July 2014 via mobile

Firstly this hotel is not within walking distance to the main city. When we arrived the front desk was unhelpful and blunt giving no useful information and gave terrible directions to nearby restaurants (we had to ask locals on the way we were so lost).

The room was very dark and the key and lock were dodgey to say the least. It was not a double, merely 2 single beds wedged together and there were not many channels at all.

Breakfast was atrocious. There was no hot food, the fruit was mouldy, juice was extremely sour and one waiting staff so the milk remained empty for a long time. Also as a buffet, plates on tables were piling up but nobody came to clear them whilst we were eating which was unprofessional.
There was limited seating at breakfast and half way through the air conditioning was leaking causing a huge puddle and there was no wet sign displayed after just wiping away the water which could have been dangerous!

All in all this hotel was very basic and not a 4* but if you want to be outside of Rome in a cheap basic hotel feel free to book it.

Just returned from a 4 night stay here. Comfortable room if not a little small. Breakfast was ok. Did walk in twice, about 50 mins to centre, although 360 bus stop only 200 yards away. Only disappointment was:
Room was not ready when we arrived at 2.30 despite saying check-in was from 1 pm. Told to wait for 10 mins. After 20 mins went to moan and they gave us another room
Having travelled since 2am all we wanted was a shower but the fittings were broken.
No welcome or hello from front desk staff. Need some training in customer care. No connection with guests and very poor English spoken.

This hotel is perfect for a short stay, admittedly a little dated and in need of a bit of an overhaul, but perfectly ok if you're not looking for 5 star luxury. Breakfast was a typical European style buffet with cereals, croissants, bread, sliced meat and cheese, fruit etc, tea, coffee, fruit juices.
There is a very good urban train service from the local station Acqua Acetosa which is only a 10 minute walk from the hotel. There are then two stops to Flaminio station (Piazza del Popolo & Piazza di Spagna) which links to the Metro line A, and then you can get to most of the tourist places in Rome.
Within 5 minutes walk there is a street full of restaurants, mainly Italian but frequented by the locals which is always a good sign, and be careful at the weekend, booking a table might be advisable.
In conclusion, we would definitely come here again and would recommend the hotel and the area.

The design is dated and lovely, the hotel is kept very clean. Breakfast was very modest, in terms of offer and quality. Staff is averagely polite. Well connected by means to the city centre, not that appropriate for walking. Adequate in price range of 60-70€ per night, not worth more.

I agree with Tomasz K. My husband and I stayed there for 3 days. It is dated but clean and the staff helpful. I would def stay again. We walked into the centre of Rome on both days. It was a bit of a trek, but we are 60 and 64. But resisted the temptation to catch a taxi or a bus, although the bus stop was very close to the hotel. All in all an excellent trip. Don't be put off by its location, it has its pluses the local restaurants are more realistic with there prices.

This hotel have many negative reviews but after recently staying here for 3 nights I can't understand where they are coming from. Upon arrival the receptionist was very polite and helpful. The room was small but in Italy this is a standard and we've had very nice balcony with sitting area.
Decor is definitely dated but hotel is kept clean and tidy. Breakfast was continental with selection of cheeses and ham. There is no restaurant operating in the hotel and bar is closed permanently.
As for location it is not in the city center. Bus number 360 from nearby stop which runs every 20 min will take you to Termini station the main connection spot in Rome in about 15-20 min.
All in all a good hotel. Would stay again.

We stayed here for four nights and were very, very pleased. Please remember that if you want luxury, pay luxurious prices. This was a great find for the money. The room was spotless on arrival & maintained that way, the staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast is basic, but we felt lucky that there was something considering the little we paid for the rooms. As for the coffee, the ready made was a trifle stewed, but if you were prepared to be nice to the waitress, she would make you fresh espresso or cappuccino on request. It is out of the way, but you are booking in a residential area out of the main tourist, and no doubt highly expensive, regions. If you want to consider this place, just make certain the distance is not too great for you, but it is not the hotels fault if you find yourself too far from where you want to be. We would come back
