“Great location and value for money!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2013

Bon Ton Suite is a guest house located within a short walking distance to rome termini and accessible to public transportation. We only paid roughly 103 Euros per night, which is definitely cheap and worth the money especially in such an expensive of Rome in July!

The owner and receptionist is a very helpful guy. Wifi is available in the guest house and computer is available in the guest house. Rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet at night. Mineral and sparkling water are available for the guests in the fridge. The owner served the guests breakfast and coffees/tea every morning, it is simple but definitely adequate. You can clearly see the owner put a lot of effort in ensuring guests enjoyed their stay. Definitely recommend to everyone who is looking for a comfortable and cheap place to stay in Rome!

We stayed here on 14th September, we were having one day in Rome before we picked up our cruise. It is less than 10mins walk to Roma Termini station so very convenient. We had a triple room as our 20yr old daughter was with us and by European standards the room was huge! We payed twice as much for a much smaller room in Rome 10yrs ago! The room was immaculately clean and the staff so friendly and helpful. There is a fridge in the lobby with free bottles of water which was a godsend as the weather was quite hot for the time of the year. Only downside is the fact that it is on the 6th floor, there is a lift, tho' when we got back in the late evening after having dinner it was out of order. However when we needed it at 9am it was back up and running so we were very impressed with their efficiency.
Just to warn any prudes on here, it is located next door to some 'Sexy places of business' however, there was no noise or people hanging around so in no way were we intimidated but I thought I would mention.
Also, if you are picking up a cruise from this station, please give yourself lots of time to catch the train to Civitavecchia port as the platform is about a mile from the main station!
All in all I would highly recommend staying here and if I'm back in Rome, this is the place you will find me:-)
There is also free wifi and free access to a computer.

Bon ton suite is located in an amazing part of Rome, within a short walk from the colosseum, and walking distance (if you don't mind a bit of a walk) from the Trevi fountain and Spanish steps. Bon ton suite is also located very close to Termini station in rome, making it easy to use train, metro and bus services. All the staff were very friendly and welcomeing and we were given free tickets to the colosseum. Ask Dario for his recommendations on the best places to see and eat around Rome. Free water is provided and breakfast each morning is served in the common room, where there is a small bar fridge available for use. The rooms are fairly small, but kept clean and tidy with fresh towels. Good wifi and aircon is also available in rooms. Some rooms have a very cute little balcony which looks down the street.

Located 10mins away from roma termini. Great pizzeria at the end of the street, supermaket just around the corner and laundromat where u can just drop off ur clothes. Great location!

Patricio the receptionist was very good! Served breakfast for us and was always willing to help out!

Our room was clean and comfortable although aircondition wasn't the best. Still quite warm at night even on lowest temp and full blast.

Definitely enjoyed our stay here!

Looking for good value in a city that has fairly expensive accommodation rates? This is the place. Small, 6 rooms only, located on the 6th floor of an apartment building, Bon Ton is perfectly formed. The B&B has been operating for 2 years and pretty much still looks like new. We had a room for 2 couples with a queen and two singles. The room was smallish but we were out all day anyway and it was certainly the size of a hotel room. Lift access was good. As others have mentioned, there is an adult cinema next door but we never once heard or saw anything untoward so I would not be concerned there. Breakfast was adequate with the usual fresh fruit, rolls, croissants, tea and coffee. If you like strong coffee ask for an expresso as well as your normal cup and add it.
Our host could speak limited English so we got by and he was extremely helpful.
The Bon Ton is in a good position with a manageable walk to the main station, Termini. We mainly used the metro station Castro Pretorio which is one stop after Termini on the blue line and a short walk to the Bon Ton. Good restaurants are within walking distance. Parking? We were told there was parking in a nearby hotel at 30 euro per day. Despite this being so expensive, when we arrived there we were told they did not have parking! Rome is an expensive place to park at the best of times but here is a tip for Bon Ton. There is parking in the street. It is metered but has a cap of 4 euro. The metered time is from 8 am to 7 pm. After checking with our host to make sure it was okay, we left the car there for the 3 days. Much, much cheaper than paying for parking.

This is an budget hotel that can be a good option in Rome, a city whose hotel rates are very expensive. Located near the Termini station, in a relatively quiet street and with some interesting options for dinner like the Ethiopian Africa and the Italian la famiglia. The rooms are quite basic but with a comfortable bed, which helps a lot, since many budget hotels in Rome have beds rather hard.

The breakfast lacks variety, but is sufficient to provide a good start up. The hotel has some downsides and the two most inconvenient are the noise of the guests talking loud at the breakfast, disturbing who wants to sleep later. The second drawback is the shower that can not always keep the water hot. But these problems are making up by the excellent staff who does everything for a pleasant stay. Deserves special mention Mr. Patricio, one of the most kind and helpful person that someone would like to find in a hotel.

Room was spotless and people were very friendly. It looks like they have responded to other comments; there was always bottled water available and the wifi was very fast. Our only complaint was that the rooms could be a little better soundproofed. Other than that, we had a great stay.
