Thought I would have more from the tour just like skip the lines and good explanation of the museum, but O was mistaken. Paid 16 euros for the guide but there were so many people in the group that I could hardly follow her. Ok, we had good explanation she knew the hotel but we had to wait for so long to pay and get the equipment that if I were in the line it would be the same.

The Vatican Museum is a great place to see if you have time to spend in Rome. It is about €16 to get in but if you are a student its half price at €8. To see the whole museum will take about 3-4 hours depending on how fast you move.

This museum has more religious paintings and statuary that any other museum that I have been to. One room after another is just filled with awe with some of the paintings and tapestries being GIGANTIC. One was a rendering of the Last Supper on a tapestry. Unlike Leonardo's rendering this one had not only the disciples but multitudes of other people. The only other museum that comes close to this is of course the Louvre. Do not miss this stop on your tour even if you are not Catholic.

there are some places on earth that once you finally get there, go first class~~maximize your time~~and do it with an expert!! I'm so glad we decided to select Susanna as our private tour guide into Vatican City. We arranged to meet her outside on the steps and we were able to bypass the mile long line to enter and immediately engage with our surroundings. Our time with her was so enjoyable as my husband and I had a million questions not only about Vatican City, but about emperors, and architecture and folk lore etc and she not only answered all our questions, she also innately understand how we 'thought' to provide a custom tour vs a 'packaged-memorized' script. Since she is a regular there, she easily navigated around crowds, could take us onto motorized lifts (my husband had hurt his leg and using a cane) not open to the public. Her knowledge about all the art work, was amazing....and she was super pleasant to hang out with!!! Like others, I read about her on trip advisor and highly, highly recommend her--you will NOT be disappointed. At the end of our tour, she helped us to find a taxi and gave our driver the name of a restaurant AWAY from Vatican City that was local and non-touristy. What a delight--our day in Rome was so special and we have Susanna to thank.

We visited Rome in September 2012, we only had 2 days and we made the most out of them with Susana as our guide. We were 2 couples in our 40s, and we felt like VIPs when she got us exclusive access to the undergrounds and top tier of the Coliseum. We also tour the Palatine and the Roma Forums on the same day. Next day, we tour the Vatican with her and got wonderful and insightful information, enough time for pictures and to appreciate the art. She is very knowledgable, we highly recommend her as a tour guide and specially to get quick access everywhere. Thanks Susana!
