Our (me and my sister) experience at this hotel was excellent. It is classed a 3 star hotel but our experience in Rome could not really have been bettered. As we were on a bit of a budget, but wanted a hotel in a good location, I booked an annex room on booking.com at a very reasonable (cheapest room) rate. On checking in we were very lucky to be upgraded to a two bedroom suite on the top floor of the main hotel. The rooms, one of which was very large, had been recently renovated in a contemporary fashion, and we had a fantastic view of the Pantheon. I realise that this would not happen for everyone and we were very grateful. The front desk staff were very pleasant and helpful, there were tea and coffee facilities in our room and internet access. The breakfast was also very pleasant in a cafe across the square. I want to go back to Rome some time with my husband, and we will certainly be booking the hotel again. For the price I'm sure it couldn't be beaten.

This is our second visit to this hotel, it's location is perfect for exploring all the sights by foot.. The view of the Pantheon from your window is just epic!! Rooms are tiny (but expect this anywhere in Italy) they are very clean though.. Hotel has free wifi and staff are super helpful and friendly.. Price is reasonable for the location and breakfast in the piazza rotonda is a great addition..wouldn't stay anywhere else in Rome

We stayed at the Hotel Abruzzi for four nights this summer and it was terrific. Originally booked to stay in the Annex rooms next door, we were moved here after one night. This was a bit of a let down as the Annex rooms are much larger and have more contemporary furnishings...but we got over it pretty quickly. Readers should just be aware that this might happen.
The Abruzzi has friendly and efficient front door staff although we would have to say the cleaning staff have the edge here as the room was always extremely tidy and there always seemed to be cleaning.
This is a nicely renovated hotel and has everything you need plus a view from the windows that is EXTRAORDINARY. But it does have it's quirks in terms of some cosmetic touch up repairs that they just haven't quite got around to here or there.
As with the other reviews we add to the chorus that really for this price there's no reason to stay anywhere else. It's great value for money as the location allows you to safely walk anywhere you might want to go.
Finally we enjoyed walking across the piazza every morning for breakfast at the nearby restaurant that the Abruzzi has made an arrangement with.
We will return.

We stayed for 3 nights at the end of August. The hotel is in a perfect location in the square overlooking the Pantheon. This is our favourite square in Rome as it is so central, all the sights are within walking distance. Our room was on the top floor and we had a great view of the Pantheon. The bedroom was large enough and the bathroom was very well equipped and clean. It was a real treat having breakfast every morning in the square outside the Pantheon. The staff are very friendly. We have stayed at a couple of other hotels in Rome in the past but this is definitely the best and we hope to return soon.

I have stayed in Rome previously but the view from our window overlooking the Pantheon was quite simply breath-taking. Fantastic location and all of the major sites in Rome are within walking distance. Our triple room was very clean and a good size for the three of us. The staff were friendly and very helpful at all times. Breakfast in the cafe across the square was good and plentiful to help set up for the day ahead. We ate several times in the restaurant in the evening and can recommend the excellent food and service. Hotel guests receive a discount, a big bonus as dining in Rome can be expensive. Leaving the windows open in the room made you very aware of the lively bustle of Rome outside along with the street artists but once closed with the air con on, a peaceful and cool haven. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept well after tiring days in the sun. My only tip would be to take an additional travel mirror. The only mirror in our room was in the bathroom - with three girls sharing, it was a challenge!!

I have been to Rome at least 12 times and I have stayed at 5 star hotels including the Minerva which is just some 200 metres away and I have to say the Abruzzi hotel for me wins hands down out if all the ones I have stayed, sure the rooms including bathroom are a little small but not so as you can not walk around bed freely and wash easily, but ours was clean and fresh, when I am in Rome I only use the room to shower sleep so the rooms are great, location !! You can not get better everything is within walking distance and you have a view of what I think is the greatest ancient building in the world. As far as breakfast goes I can only tell that the coffee was great because seriously having breakfast in Italy!! Why bother say your appetite for lunches and dinners but the restaurant where you have breakfast I can highly recommend for lunches or dinners great view and location, seriously if this is your first time or 12 th time in a rome stay at this hotel you won't be let down great staff great everything.

Room Tip: Get room with a view we did not here any noise like others have said but we where on the fourth floo...

We stayed at Albergo Abruzzi for 4 days. Excellent location, walking distance to everything (including the Vatican if you enjoy walking - about 20 min or so) and best of all, across the street from the Pantheon! Imagine having breakfast every morning for 4 days looking at one of the most ingenious architectural structures in Rome- Priceless!
The hotel was very well priced, friendly staff, clean and our room offered a great view of the Piazza outside. Although the room was a bit small, it was perfect as all we were out and about all day and only returned to sleep! Highly recommend to travelers who want a non-fussed and central location for their trip.

Room Tip: Get a room with a view of the Piazza and Pantheon. Worth the money :)
