Good points to start with:
Air conditioning and wireless internet - free of charge

Breakfast was good, it was nice to eat on the balcony early in the morning.
Location - for us it was ok to walk 3-5 kilometers to the main attractions. There are lots of restaurants around with good service and food.
The furniture inside the room is pretty good & looks new.

Overall experience - we would definitely stay in this hotel again once in Rome to spend a holiday there.

We had a pleasant stay here for three nights. Our room was clean, comfortable and modern. Bathroom had a good shower. We also had a patio with table and chairs. Breakfast is served in your room, at a time of your choosing. This consists of tea/coffee, fruit juice, pastries, bread rolls, jam, crackers and cheese spread and biscuits (which are good for a snack later in the day!). The staff were very friendly, particularly the lady who brought our breakfast.

The location of the hotel is OK but it is not in central Rome so if you want to step out of your hotel and be in the middle of things this probably won't be for you. However, I am sure it is cheaper because it is further from the main tourist areas, and it is easy enough to walk for 10 minutes to Piramide metro station, and take the metro a couple of stops to the centre. There was also a tram stop and bus stop nearby which might be useful.

In the same building complex as the hotel is the Mercato Testaccio - a lovely market selling fresh fruit, veg, meat, cheese etc so if you were self catering this would be ideal.

Room Tip: There are a few bars on the main road outside the hotel which I think could be a bit noisy, so ask f...

Easy to get to from the Metro - I went to Piramide from Termini on Line B. It's a 10 minute walk or 2 minute taxi ride. It's not difficult to find but it helps if you've seen a picture of the exterior as it's not your conventional hotel frontage. I found the staff really helpful and spoke good English. I needed to extend my stay for business reasons and this was all dealt with efficiently with no problem.
The room I stayed in had a small balcony, which itself was nice but my view was over the roof rather than the street view on the other side of the hotel. There's a fridge and basic cooking facilities which was good for me, staying for over a week. Not too far to get to Trastevere - I walked several times. Everything was clean and modern, free wifi vital for me.

Room Tip: Maybe sacrifice a street view for a quieter room - certainly for me noise wasn't an issue

We arrived late at night and the hotel was a little difficult to find at first. The hotel is not located in central Rome but in the lovely neighborhood, Testaccio, close to the metro. We didn't find the noise level from the street too high like the other previous reviews. However, we could hear all the conversations from the people in the room next to ours which was distracting. The bed was not comfortable and the shower was extremely small. It was good enough for our three day stay in Roma.

We arrived early evening and were told that our room wasn't available and we had to go on to another hotel. Reception said it was a booking problem notwithstanding we had paid upfront and had a reservation confirmation from the hotel dating back three months! Apparently, we had been informed by email a few days ago. But we were already on our travels and didn't have access to email! The email actually said that our room had suffered a flood! To clarify, the rooms are on one level above shops/offices; no likely of a water problem above; also, the floors are tiled and therefore any leak could have been mopped up in hours! As far as we were concerned, this excuse was blatent rubbish. We went to the inferior alternative hotel - just a B&B for one night. I wrongly believed that we had breakfast included and was shown the faxed booking confirmation from booking.com to re testa. I was horrified to see that on this faxed sheet which is held in a plastic wallet on reception and bandied around at will - all my credit card details including security number; together with name and address - and, after they've taken a photocopy of our passports, our DoBs as well - there's not much more information left to find out! THIS PRACTICE NEEDS TIGHTENING UP. However, we returned to Re Testa the next morning (by cab!) which the guy on the desk paid out for and I do hope he got his generosity refunded. The manager was no-where to be seen and in fact she never made herself known during the rest of our 6 day stay, let alone apologise for the inconvenience. Although I have to say the rest of the staff were rather helpful. The substitute B&B was 20 euros a night less than we'd paid and, on a point of principle, we refused to pay the city tax - we said they could pay it out of what they owed us! Oh, by the way, the balcony on one side of the hotel consists of a share of the roof - albeit marked out with potted plants - with a view of the air conditioning units!! And the kitchen equipment includes a range of unhelpful sundry items, but no KETTLE!

Hotel well located, with an excellent typical but cheep restaurant in front, at just 5 mn walk from the metro. Rooms are very modern, comfortable, big,, clean, cosy, with a lot of small goods offered and with what you need to cook and eat in the room. every person we had to deal with at the reception where very friendly, helpful, smiling, eagger to provide with a good service so that the client will be happy. We had the impression to be in a 4* hotel. We enjoyed our stay there very much.

Room Tip: Taste the restaurant just in front
