This cooky restaurant was next door to my hotel, so after a day of touring Rome, we stopped in for lunch. The decor is a little bizarre - walls covered in random pieces of art and knicknacks galore, but don't let the weirdness (including the platter of cooked chickens at the door) deter you. The food was delicious - we had pizzas and caprese salads. The waiter passed his time singing Italian operas, while meandering around the restaurant. Definitely worth a stop if you like being entertained. Just ask for the check a while before you're ready to leave. As with many of the Rome establishments, we had to wait quite a bit for the check to actually arrive.

The atmosphere is very colorful and the wait staff are very friendly and helpful. The main waiter is very accommodating. One of the best meals we had in Rome.

The name doesn't sound very Italian, but I assure you this place is worth the visit. The delicious smell from the firebrick ovens stopped us in our tracks on the street.

The had the best pizza and gnocchi we had the entire time of our trip. We would have eaten there every night if we could. The wait staff is fun and friendly and it was just a fun atmosphere.

We ate at this restaurant twice during our 4 night stay in Rome. We were staying close by and initially passed by around lunch time when the place was packed with people, mostly locals. We decided that due to it's popularity we'd give it a try in the evening.

The decor of the restuarant is very quirky with lots of strange odds and ends all around. It's part of the attraction of the place but may put some people off.

The food we had on both occassions was excellent and extremely good value. The house wine (red) was lovely and only 12 euro a bottle ! We enjoyed a very nice 3 course meal and the bill was little over 50 euro for the two of us.

A highly recommended place to visit for enjoyable low cost quality Italian food and drink in a great atmosphere.

We ate at the chicken house our first night visiting Rome. We initially went to a different recommended restaurant after being mashed in a corner and ignored for 30 minutes we left and wondered into the "chicken house". The atmosphere was fun and friendly. We ordered the house wine and caprese salad, pasta and the best dish in the house Veal with wine sauce. We enjoyed our meal so much we ate there our last night in Rome. The staff recognized us and gave us a really nice table and impeccable service. I would highly recommend this restaurant. The staff and atmosphere made us feel welcome. The food was delicious.
