A nicely run hotel within walking distances of all the main attractions, clean comfortable rooms with a nice terrace for a late night drink provided by "Ali". Breakfast is typically continental with a fairly good choice. About 400 meters away 2nd left turning is the Steakhouse restaurant. Well worth visiting and very good food at good prices. Would recommend both.

Room Tip: Rooms at the front overlook the road and some have small balconies. The rooms at the rear overlook t...

I booked a double superior room for 4 nights. The room wasn't like the pictures. It was supposed to come with a complimentary fruit basket- nowhere to be found. Breakfast & service were good. Closed to Termini station & to Conad supermarket. Four years ago I stayed in a much better hotel Augusta Lucilla Palace.

Thanks to industrial action by our airline, we had to extend our visit to Rome. They offered us alternative flights but it meant extending our stay by a few days. As we knew this before we left home we sourced the Alpi as our base for the additional few days.
As it was on our route between another hotel and Termini station, we looked at it and wondered if the plain front of the building could actually be the place we had seen on line, it was.
Don't be put off by the outside, when you step inside the second set of doors you have arrived.
The reception staff are well versed in dealing with the public and despite the early check in on our behalf it wasn't a problem and they tagged our bags for when our room would be available.
The lift is a bit different, to say it is small is an understatement, it basically holds two people, without luggage. When we exited the elevator we were met by a member of staff and shown to our room, our luggage arrived a few minutes later.
There was a welcome gift of strawberries and chocolate there waiting for us. The room was lovely, it was their "Superior" room, well worth the few Euro more I thought.
As we were towards the rear of the hotel there wasn't a sound so sleep was excellent. Housekeeping did an excellent job quietly and effectively.
There is a terrace on the third floor where one can go an relax in the shade and despite near to busy traffic one doesn't hear a sound.
The breakfast area was well stocked, fresh and varied, the décor there is a little different, the walls are a painting, which didn't work for me, it made it look dark and at times somber, my observation.
One can almost see Termini from the front door, 5 min walk, supermarket 70m away, plenty restaurants nearby to cater for most tastes. There are local bus stops almost outside the front door, also a taxi rank 100m away.
For anyone travelling on the metro, be careful, pickpockets are rife and good.
Would we go back there, certainly.

We stayed at this hotel in April and liked its proximity to the central rail terminal. It was an easy 6 minute walk from the terminal to the hotel.
We found the staff friendly and helpful. Our standard room was recently renovated and had a very modern look and feel, particularly the bathroom. The bed was really comfortable and we slept well after our long days about town.
We liked the breakfast. It was a healthy start to our day, the buffet had many interesting items to choose from; fresh fruits, yogurt, cheese, breads etc.
One evening we ordered their wine and cheese platter, what a treat!
We left Rome happy with our choice of accommodations; classic from the outside, modern inside, nice staff and a tasty breakfast buffet with lots of choices.

Got a great deal for Hotel Alpi and was worried it wouldn't live up to the reviews - luckily it was a lovely place.

Location is awesome - 5mins walk from Termini station which can easily get you back to the airport or across the city on the two tube routes.

Staff/decor/breakfast - staff were really friendly. Hotel looks like the pictures - very nicely presented both in the rooms and foyer. Breakfast had lots of choice, mostly very European but some more typical English choices too. Breakfast room could get a little hectic though and sometimes people would have to wait for a table as the room was quite small.

Room - gorgeous looking with a nice view. We had a third-floor room overlooking the street (304) It was really lovely HOWEVER so so small - one of the smallest rooms I think I have ever stayed in! Quite difficult for me and my boyfriend while we were getting ready to go out as we kept getting in eachother's way! Despite this, all the other rooms (we saw while being cleaned) were much much bigger and I think we had just drawn the short straw, which was a shame.

Overall, great choice. Would go back. Maybe not stay in room 304.

Thanks for having us!

Room Tip: Not room 304.

We had a hotel booked for our final night in Rome but when we arrived, they had no record of our booking, and although they were still able to fit us in, we decided we didn't like the area, nor the hotel, so we did a quick search on Booking.com and found the Alpi had availability at a great price - within 20 minutes we arrived at the Alpi by taxi and were in our room! They were extremely friendly and accomodating and although we only stayed the one night, we were very happy and would have loved to make this our base for a longer Rome stay. The room was very clean and modern, a fantastic bathroom and shower, comfortable bed, and delicious breakfast the next morning. It's very accessible to Termini and for walking around Rome.
