I agree that the hotel was quiet and hidden, but is also far from the metro and bus stops. We had a very small room, barely enough room to walk around the bed. The bed had ants in it, which were coming in from the small balcony. The coffee, however, was delicious. The staff were helpful, but at times not friendly. Would look around next time for a different place.

Dear Mrs Trish and Mr Jay,

We are so sad you were disappointed with our hotel but mostly we are sad as you didn't say anthing. We could maybe solve your problem.
Room could be small for your needs maybe but roughly all our rooms are big the same and there is not such a difference among them. If we could know anyway in advance what you liked, we could maybe try to give you something more suitable for you.
You know this hotel is a very old building, it belongs to the xvi° century and when it's very warm it is possible that, if you have had something to eat on balcony, ants arrive. We try to do our best to control them.
We also see you that you were not satisfied with our staff as you say that staff was helpfull but not friendly which shocked us considering the reviews that other guests wrote about our staff but be sure that we will investigate about it and do our best to improvie this point.
Regarding buses then we have to say that maybe we were not clear enough as there is a bus stop just around the corner that you can easily located with goodle maps if you use it while the underground is at Spanish Steps which is 10 minutesa walking distance (walking slowly) from here.
In any case we hope to see you again as we want you to have a special stay with us and till then please accept our warmest regards.

Back again after visits in 2009 and 2011. The location is fantastic - walking distance to everywhere, quick access to taxis when needed. Room for four is perfect, considering how limited quads can be in Europe, with a master bedroom and a separate two-bed room for two children. Great breakfast room, friendly, helpful staff on all shifts and a very friendly owner who was there with her little dog - cozy charm in the middle of busy Rome..

We found this Hotel through Rick Steves Italy guide. Nestled in a wonderfully convenient location close to the Pantheon is the Hotel Due Torri. Charming hotel with comfortable accommodations and an outstanding location. Service's at the hotel were excellent, and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. They make you feel like family. We will stay here again on our next trip to Rome.

We found this hotel after a very lengthy search and were happy to finally find something that ticked our requirements boxes. And the hotel certainly did not disappoint.

The air conditioning was fantastic, the bed was firm and we had a nice little outside space on the terrace. The lounge and breakfast areas were very comfortable and felt very authentic.

The owner came around to meet us personally at breakfast after our first night and was very warm and hospitable. All of the staff were very helpful and did all they could to make our stay comfortable, including recommending a local restaurant where we ate all three nights that we stayed in Rome.

The reservation process was smooth, as were all of our dealings with reception, through to final payment. They helped us book a transfer on the morning of our departure that went completely smoothly.

We cannot recommend this place highly enough and would definitely stay here again if we are fortunate enough to return to Rome.

Room Tip: Room 504 was very quiet, facing away from the road (which was a quiet road anyway) and it had a love...

This little gem has all the components needed for a great stay, at superb value.

As others have mentioned before me, one can not think of a better location, Hotel Due Torri is really at the centroid of all the major sites of Rome: Vatican, Pantheon, Colosseum, Piazza Navona, Spanish steps; they are all 5-20 minutes walking distance from the hotel. No need for any other transportation other than your feet. You just venture out the door and you are already there, at the heart of it and this is a huge logistical benefit.

No less important is the hotel's warm, accommodating and helpful staff. From the moment we walked into the hotel we received a warm, personable welcome. The staff was always helpful, made great expert suggestions and bookings (on sights, restaurants and or anything we asked). All their suggestions were spot on and we really got the feeling they wanted to ensure our successful stay not only at the hotel, but in Rome. We had a feeling of genuine care and a warm greeting each time we returned from an excursion. Hotel staff does not get better than this.

Finally, the hotel itself is extremely comfortable. The rooms and lobby are charming and I was surprised at the level of comfort in such an old neighborhood. The beds are top notch, great sleep quality. The room was charming and large by European standards. The hotel is very quiet, small, located on a small side street, with modern quiet, effective A/C. Breakfast was tasty, with a variety of choices.

We had a great stay, I will come back here again and warmly recommend this place.

My family and I just returned from a 5 day stay. We went with my brother's family and my Mom. My brother has stayed here on several occasions and always lauded the location and people who worked there. I/we weren't disappointed!

One of the nice things about the Due Torri is that it isn't located on one of Rome's bustling streets. It really is tucked away. That adds a little 'privacy' and quiet to its location. We rarely heard any outside noise at night or in the morning. Yet, when you exit the hotel and walk a short block or 2 in either direction, you're on your way to any of Rome's attractions that you want! Because of this, if you need to recharge your batteries, it is easy to get back, relax for an hour or so and then head back out without needing a cab. In fact, I'd say that other than possibly the Coliseum (which we walked back from), EVERYTHING is within a 20-25 minute walk.

The rooms had all that we needed. Nicely air conditioned, appointed and clean. Your room rate also comes with breakfast. There's an extremely abundant selection of pastries, cereals, juices, toast and coffees. The attendant will make made to order espresso drinks (cappuccinos, etc.). It was so bountiful, we were often good to go until dinner!

The staff is wonderful! There hasn't been a lot of turnover in the staff which is nice. As I mentioned, my brother has been there on several occasions and they welcomed him back like family! They happily helped with every request.

I think the Due Torri is one of the best overall values in Rome and would highly recommend you considering it for your next vacation to this beautiful city!

Dear JDS,

We had the chance to read what you wrote on Trip advisors and we really have no words to thank you. You can't even imagine how pleased we have been to meetthe rest of the family and see again your mother.. Your Brother, who every year comes and stay with us, he is for us now a memeber of our family too and if he for any reason is not able to come we really miss him. All your family is such a beautiful family!!! Everybody here was impressed!
We are also glad of course you had a pleasant stay and therefore, (we hope you also went and through the coin at Trevi Fountain) you definately must be back with your lovely family.
