“Perfect B&B!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 April 2014

My wife and I stayed at B&B La Duchessa for 5 nights in April 2014. I cannot speak highly enough of this B&B. Daniela and Marco were the kindest and most helpful hosts I have ever met! Daniela even took the time to make dinner reservations for us at a local restaurant and to make a reservation for us at the Galleria Borghese. Every morning Daniela would chat with us at breakfast and give us her hints and tips on the sites and places we intended to visit that day. They truly made our stay at La Duchessa feel like we were visiting old friends. Breakfast was delicious and eating on the terrace was beautiful. The rooms were all beautifully decorated and extremely clean. The location is perfect, situated on a quiet street in a local neighborhood that is still close to the city center. I only hope that we can return soon and stay at La Duchessa again!

Room Tip: All rooms are equally good in my opinion.

We stayed at La Duchessa A Roma for 6 nights in September 2013, and by far found it the best B&B we stayed at while traveling through Italy. Daniela and Marco were amazing hosts providing wonderful hospitality. I honestly cant find one thing that could be improved, the breakfast was beautiful and included lovely espresso coffee (made to your order). Each day we woke to freshly cooked pastries and delicious meats, fruit, cheese and cakes.

There were 4 in our traveling party, including my sister who had her own room. We all enjoyed warm Rome nights on the balcony, where we enjoyed a cold beer or 2 after jam packed sightseeing days and nights.

We will return and have already recommended friends stay with Daniela and Marco on their visit to Rome.

My husband and I have just returned from our long weekend in Rome where we stayed at this wonderful B&B. The B&B is conveniently located 5 min walking distance away from the tram line which can take you in 15 min to the city center near the historic sites. The hosts, Daniela and Marco did a great job giving us the overview of the city on our arrival day. The rooms are very beautifully done and extremely clean. Every morning our hosts greeted us with a lovely breakfast and delicious cappuccinos :) They really made us feel at home! I truly believe this is one of the best B&Bs we have every stayed in and I hope we will have a chance to return there in the future.

We had a great stay at this delightful B&B. The location is excellent, just a few minutes’ walk from the tram station and a short 10 minute journey into the heart of Rome. The rooms were very clean. Bathroom is not en-suite but close, so don’t let that put you off. You will not be disappointed with the breakfast, I would say one of the best in Italy – and we’ve been to a few. No pre-packed croissants, all fresh baked items. Breakfast will keep you going for most of the day.

As other reviewers have mentioned, you feel like you have more of an apartment than a room in a B&B. We went to the local supermarket and brought food back one evening prepared in the kitchen and sat out on the terrace watching the sun go down. Delightful.

The hosts are great. There when you need them with excellent suggestions not only on where to go but where to eat too.

Truly, if you stay here you will not be disappointed.

We stayed at La Duchessa for 3 marvellous nights and were impressed with every aspect of it. First, our hosts looked after our every need and were very warm and kind. The rooms are super clean and comfortable. It feels like home! It was very easy taking the bus and tram to get downtown and it was fun staying in a residential part of the city. Daniella gave us excellent directions for getting around and even addresses for finding some restaurants that accommodated a gluten-free diet. The breakfasts were substantial and tasty and gave us a good start to our days of sightseeing and exploring. And yes, the cappuccinos are fabulous! Daniella even took great pains to help us find alternate convenient accommodation for our return to Rome at a time when the B&B was already booked. We LOVED this B&B!!

I'm so sorry it's taken me forever to write this! However, I cannot stop raving about this bed and breakfast to my family and friends. We had rented a scooter during our trip to Rome and there was plenty of street parking right next to their location - those without their own transportation need not worry! Public transportation is 3 blocks or so away!

I must say, Marco's cappuccinos are amazing, and I don't even drink coffee. And the hosts were so sweet and always went out of their way to help my wife and I out. We look forward to staying with you again in the future!

We were lucky enough to stay at this B&B 3 days this week, we had a great stay ! The location is a little off the beaten path , but by using the tram line the location is very good !
The rooms are super super clean and the bath is very very clean.
The breakfast area is super and the breakfast great !
They have a very very lovely outdoor terrace that is unbelievable ! One of the best terraces we have seen.
I would love to stay here again , everything was great !
We travel a lot and this one of the best B&Bs we have stayed at !

Mike
