I stumbled on Tavole Romane after browsing through some Rome-based expat food blogs and read up on other Trip Advisor reviews of their and other recommended food tours. Tavole Romane Food Tours had some great ratings so my family decided to give it a shot. As a foodie who isn't afraid to do her own research, I admit that I can be really picky when it comes to judging a potential tour or restaurant, and will devote hours to online research before arriving anywhere.
We took the Roman Jewish Ghetto tour with Giovanna - and it was honestly one of the best parts of our vacation in Rome. Giovanna is not only a dynamic and personable host with great knowledge of food and local foodie havens, she is a fantastic storyteller. We never felt rushed from venue to venue, we were treated so well by the vendors (especially the Innocenti Bakery that sold all this adorable and delicious biscotti - they are just a dream), and we ended the tour feeling we had truly experienced Rome. Thank you Tavole Romane and thank you Giovanna. We recommend this tour company (and Giovanna) to everyone we know who is considering a trip to Rome.
