Good food and friendly staff. Most of the visitors are local which seems to be a good signal. We arrived around lunch and when we left 1 hour later the restaurant was full.

Visited mostly my locals (always a good sign) they have a daily menu on the chalkboard which is largely modern Italian. The waitress was kind enough to translate anything in to English we didn't understand - that's always appreciated. The service and food were outstanding and consistent over the few times we visited. It is also close to St. Peter in Chains so perfect for those visitors who arrive to find the basilica closed for a couple of hours early in the afternoon! Open for lunch and dinner.

The restaurant is tucked away up an alley near the Cavour Metro station, it can be difficult to find. It is wonderful; the food is very different, interesting, imaginative and really delicious. The menu is all in Italian, but the waitress/wine waiter speaks good English and translated for us. The restaurant looks small but there are tables outside and downstairs, however it does not open until 8.30 p.m. in the evening. The food combinations are well thought through, beautifully presented and all tasted amazing. Service was very good, welcoming and friendly and reasonably priced for the very high standard. Make the effort and go.

My husband and I had a short two day stop in Rome on our way back from Sicily, and we decided to do the Ancient Rome and Coliseum tour (booked thru Viator), and unfortunately, it began to rain in the middle of the tour. By the end, we were wading through ankle deep water in parts of ancient Rome, although the tour guide was a real champ and kept on going - after we all stopped to buy umbrellas and rain ponchos. Anyway, at the end we were pretty wet and really hungry, and took off on our own to try to find a restaurant that would be not too touristy, and off the beaten path. We really got lucky when we stumbled across Cuoco & Camicia Ristorante, at Via di Monte Palaccio, 2/4, tel. 88922987, very close to San Pietro in Vincoli. Great lunch including bruschettina with spinach, mozzarella, and anchovies. Also we shared the salad called Francis di Salmonella (salmon) with with arugula, bluberries, hazelnuts, and avocado. We also had the fettuccine with sea bass and tomatoes - fantastic! Loved the food, and we were the only tourists. It filled up with locals soon after we goth there for lunch. We would definitely go back again.

The folks here were great. Wonderul menu that they described to us generously in English. The prices are solid for the well designed offerings. Food was delicious and it was nice to veer off the path a bit.

Music selection was fun.
