Let's make this a short review, because our "stay" here lasted only few minutes.
The good reviews on Tripadvisor led us to this place on a Saturday night looking for dinner. From the outside it looks nice (small restaurant), and the menu sounds good.

About 9 pm it was almost empty and only we and another Italian couple were looking for a table.
We asked for a table, so did they, but after a short discussion between the waiters they advised us they can only make us a table outside (10°C) - and guess what, the others can get choose one of the plenty empty tables inside. Sorry guys, this whole situation was kind of ridiculous. Your place is a restaurant and not a sort of a elite club. But it seemed so you thought the others look "richer" and the surely would spend more money that night.

If behavior improves, I could also rate the food and drink experience.

Dinner in Cuoco&Camicia was a nice experience. A selection of cheeses with tasty (sweet&sour) jams initiated a pleasant evening. Our group thanked of both fish and meat as second dish. Excellent wine crowned our meal. The only minus was loud music, which made our discussion a bit limited. Still, I highly recommend!

Good food and friendly staff. Most of the visitors are local which seems to be a good signal. We arrived around lunch and when we left 1 hour later the restaurant was full.

Visited mostly my locals (always a good sign) they have a daily menu on the chalkboard which is largely modern Italian. The waitress was kind enough to translate anything in to English we didn't understand - that's always appreciated. The service and food were outstanding and consistent over the few times we visited. It is also close to St. Peter in Chains so perfect for those visitors who arrive to find the basilica closed for a couple of hours early in the afternoon! Open for lunch and dinner.

The restaurant is tucked away up an alley near the Cavour Metro station, it can be difficult to find. It is wonderful; the food is very different, interesting, imaginative and really delicious. The menu is all in Italian, but the waitress/wine waiter speaks good English and translated for us. The restaurant looks small but there are tables outside and downstairs, however it does not open until 8.30 p.m. in the evening. The food combinations are well thought through, beautifully presented and all tasted amazing. Service was very good, welcoming and friendly and reasonably priced for the very high standard. Make the effort and go.
