We concurred with most of the recent reviews of this hotel.
Location: (1) the Trastevere is an interesting area to walk around in, with many tourists and locals and we felt safe at all times (2) there are many reasonably priced restaurants very close by (3) there is also a laundromat around the corner (4) around 25 minutes walk to the Forum & Colliseum and around 45 minutes to the Vatican, but in both cases there are also reasonably easy public transport options
Room: we had a junior suite for 3 of us which was comfortable.
Other hotel facilities: Outside our room there was outdoor seating area with umbrellas and the hotel also has another outdoor seating area set between citrus trees where you can have breakfast or a drink in the evening.
Breakfast was included in our rate and was a buffet style meal (bread, pastries, very good ham and prosciutto, boiled and scrambled eggs, cheese and yogurt). There was fresh melon each day we were there and also bananas and oranges.
The hotel is quite hard to find as it is in the middle of a series of small lanes, but the hotel arranged transport from the airport (55 euros) for us so we did not have a problem.
Staff that we dealt with all spoke good EnglishMore
