Everything at the hotel was great - including breakfast and the "happy hour" each evening - and all the staff were fantastic, too. There's no doubt that when we next visit Rome we will definitely want to stay here again.

My sister and I loved this place so much we wanted to stay for weeks. They have taken great care to make guests feel welcome, the outdoor space is a quiet, lovely oasis, the drinks and food are lovely, the rooms clean and comfortable. You have everything you need in the vibrant, fantastic neighborhood of Trastevere. Returning from a day across the Tiber was like coming home to a secret garden and welcoming but nonintrusive family. I will never stay anywhere else in Roma.

This is a double edge sword....

Pros:
-Good breakfast with nice terrace area with orange trees.
-Decent location if you want a distance from the touristy areas. It is in a up beat neighborhood with a nice gated entrance. You will have to look past the graffiti covered ally ways.
-Front desk was helpful calling a taxi, answering questions.
***But keep reading....
Cons:
-This place is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE for what you get. The rooms are TINY and you get charged for everything. May I suggest offering bottled water to your guests as part of room price (many other hotels do this as we found out after we booked).
-Bedding, decor seems mildly outdated and old.
-The worst part and a tip if you choose to book (I would suggest cheaper options in Rome) was our first two nights my husband and I woke up at midnight to find the air conditioning was blowing air but not cool. The second night we had to call the front desk bc we couldn't sleep as it was so hot in our room. The receptionist said, "oh I'll turn the air on." We were too tired to ask questions. Found our later when I asked the next day and was told "we turn the air conditioning off every night at 11pm." UMM.... that would have been good to know when we checked in as no one ever told us that and it was 70ish degrees outside even in Sept. at night. Shame on you for being so misleading! If we are paying $280+ a night I would hope we shouldn't have to ask to keep the air on at night!!!!!! This hotel should be $150/ night for what you get.

Stayed: September 2017

Dear Mrs. Brooke,
We do not shame on us about our work and hundreds of positive reviews can attest that our guests never felt tricked by us.

We always work hard to improve our services and meet the needs of our clients and that was what we were trying to do also with you when during the night you asked to turn on the air conditioning although in September there are between 15/19 degrees, ideal to sleep, and consequently to leave the air conditioning on would be only cause of pollution.

Despite everything, we satisfied your needs!!!

If you had told us that you didn't like the room we would have changed it but we are aware of that only now !

We want to specify that you paid 215,00 euro per nights ( more or less $ 257 each night ) which is the correct rate for a double room in a 3 stars hotel in the historical center of Rome during September which is high season... It was not $280+ as you wrote!

Concerning the bottle of water in the room, the price is 1,00 euro and if for you was too much you had at your disposal the tap water in your room or at the standpipe in the courtyard which has really good water!

Moreover we remind you that in all the rooms there are complimentary amenities as coffee ,tea ,camomille tea, biscuits and of course sleepers and courtesy line.. You also have complimentary use of bicycles, free room service and many others services that we offer to our clients...then it is not true that we ask to our guests to pay for everything as you wrote!

Dear Brooke, next time try to make constructive comments, talking directly with the staff despite writing incorrect and unnecessary things in anonymous review.

We remember very well what happened.. during that days you were the only ones asking for air conditioning saying that ' you are used to be freeze ' !

Cordiallly,
The Management

Very pleasant setting in busy Trastevere. Lovely gardens in very quiet hotel which is surrounded by lovely orange and lemon trees. Staff are wonderful and very helpful. Close to all sights in Rome all within walking distance or number 8 tram.

Room Tip: All rooms are good all depends if you have family.
