we stayed for four nights , it was basic but lovely. The signora was very helpful and friendly, we will go back. Good location next to the termini and very quiet at night. Easy access to local bars and restaurants. Staff were very helpful and gave us tips on where to eat and how to travel around.

This hotel is 2 blocks from the train/bus station yet is totally quiet at night. The room was cleaned daily and looked great.
We stayed for 6 nights and when on one day a bad smell blew in from the window, we were offered another room - we waited and the smell passed.
The lady at the front desk was great with tourist information. She knows all of the bus routes and numbers.
The neighborhood may look a little rough but I found the vendors a block away from the station crush honest and very fair with their prices. Try the tiny grocery store to the NE on the same road!
The front desk is manned 24/7 and there is a programmable safe in the room. There is also a refrigerator in the room - HEAVEN!
In the morning, you get a coupon for breakfast at a cafe 1.25 blocks away. The coupon gives you a coffee and a pastry. It was about a 2 Euro value, I found that to be fine.
The central location meant that we could take a rest mid-day and go to another site later in the day.
The pictures on this site of the hotel are not accurate. The front door is the only picture of the hotel. All interior pictures must be from some other place.

Not a perfect stay from this hotel...Lacks entirely customer service skills and hospitality. Owner is not so friendly in his business. Will have this hotel banned from our company. Not recommended!

After reading many poor reviews from the fussier of guests I arrived a little worried. Needless to say the hotel provided just as much as you would expect a hotel with this price tag to provide. A minutes walk to Termini proved perfect to travel around rome on the underground and ideal to nip back in the afternoon for a clean up or feet up. The room inlcuded a double bed, tv, wardrobe and bedside cabinet with an ensuite bathroom with shower, sink, toilet, mirror and hairdyer. We had our beds changed and room cleaned once during our 3 night stay and despite it being a wee nippy at night the room was always comfortably warm. Staff could go no further to help with any queries such as maps, attractions and restaurants. With the view that Rome is a short break visitor attraction with as little time as possible spent in your hotel I could find no faults at all with Robinson and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to anybody visitng Rome.

Just returned from Rome and to say I was disappointed is an understatement!
Firstly we arrived at the hotel expecting to see the entrance from the street, but you have to actually walk into a corridor to get to the entrance!
Check in was fine and very helpful, until we got to our room and there was a god awful smell from the bathroom of drainage and it smelt like that for the whole 3 days we were there!
The was clean enough but it was more like a hostol! The pictures on there website and on here are not of the actual rooms!
As for the location, yes this is right on the termini, also only a 20 minute colosso, but what people don't mention is the amount of homeless people and beggars around, this made me feel extremely uncomfortable.
So if you are planning a romantic weekend to Rome, do not stay near the termini.

My wife and I stayed here in the first week of October 2012. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk from the train station and in a good location. The rooms are small which is typical of a hotel priced as it is. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was functional. The shower was in a corner of the bathroom with a shower curtain that was hard to use so you just planned on getting most of the bathroom floor wet. The front desk was very accommodating and spoke enough English to get by. The breakfast that is included for 10 Euros is at a small bar a block and a half down the street. You should skip paying the 10 Euros and go to the same bar for your own breakfast and get the one pastry and one drink that is specified by the hotel voucher for a cheaper price. We would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: All rooms are small and on the first floor. You pay extra for ac.

I would not recommend it to anybody. They had me checked-in at around 1pm. Check-in time was at 9am so when I got there they said the room is not ready yet and they told us to come back in an hour. We went back after more than an hour and the room was not ready yet. For the third time they told me to go back at 12nn so I did and the room was not ready yet. They told us to wait for about 30 min and it should be ready by that time...unfortunately NOT! I waited for more than an hour. Surprisingly. the room was very small. Very poor customer service. The TV was not working. Its not worth it to pay that much money for the room itself. Staff were so rude they don't even know how to apologized.
