“Super breakfast, great location”
Reviewed 2 June 2013

By far, what I remember most is the fantastic breakfast they offered, free! They have this super coffee machine that makes anything you want; coffee was just unbelievable! Breakfast was hot/cold, included fresh fruit, yogurt, scrambled eggs, bacon, wonderfully soft and yummy pastries, as well as cheeses, parma ham, and prosciutto. With that kind of breakfast I had enough stamina to last the whole day of sightseeing. If you needed anything that you forgot to bring, there was a little market just up the street. Can't forget, too, the Hop-on-Hop-off bus route was just a block away. Soooo convenient!

Room Tip: We had room 608. Big enough for the three of us. Quiet. Looked out into a little courtyard. Elevator...

We stayed here our last night in Rome and found it to be a very pleasant experience. Room was good and an ample breakfast was included in the price, which was good value compared to many other hotels that I looked at before booking. Close to train station(15 minute walk), Villa Borghese grounds, Treve Fountain, etc. Many restaurants close-by and not as busy as many others that we experienced earlier in the week at another location in Rome.

Room Tip: Room overlooking an open courtyard? Space was very quiet even with window open!

We stayed for 3 nights in May when on our first trip to Rome. The hotel is located near Via Veneto, a lovely affluent area in which to be situated, with nice restaurants nearby. It is in walking distance of the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain and is also well located for the Metro and generally getting around. Given its fabulous location the price makes this hotel a good find. It certainly wasn't the nicest hotel we've stayed in (the decor needs updating and the walls are paper thin!) but the room was functional and there were some nice little touches (i.e. slippers, bathrobes etc). The buffet breakfast was adequate (but not a huge amount of choice) and the staff helpful and pleasant.

If you are traveling alone or with your significant other you should stay at the Ludovisi Palace. If you are traveling with a group of 36 or more people, you need to stay here. Just completed a cruise that departed from Rome with a large group from Hawaii. 37 people all wanted to check-in at ~9:30 am after 24 hours in the air. The Ludovisi Palace was exceptional in welcoming and accommodating most with rooms immediately or very soon afterwards. The rooms are small based on US standards but have all the expected amenities in the room. Daily breakfast (Included for our group) was bountiful and delicious. (Loved the Nespresso coffee machine!) On the day of departure, those same smiles were present on the staff when 37 people all needed to check-out at once. (Hopefully those smiles were for our stay, not our departure...) I give the Ludovisi my highest recommendation.

Room Tip: The Hotel has an open, but unattractive courtyard providing air to the inner rooms. Ask for a room...

On March 9,2013 I was one in a group of thirteen New Jersey City University students and two professors who had the pleasure of staying at this hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted with warmth and friendliness . The entrance was adorned with huge potted plants that welcomed you into the lobby. The staff from the desk clerk to room service were very efficient .They went beyond the call duty to ensure that the needs of the group were met. Each morning we were welcomed to the smell of a complimentary breakfast-another plus, which included an assortment of fresh breads and pastry, eggs , fruit , meat and a variety of hot and cold beverages. I am not a coffee drinker, however, i quickly developed a taste for the cappuccino. I loved the window shutters that added character to the rooms. The rooms were small compared to hotel rooms in the US. This was not a problem because the service was great.

Room Tip: The laundry service is very expensive, about ten euros for a tee shirt.

Stay here and no where else. This is 5 minutes from the spanish steps. all other hotels which are near the spanish steps are very very expensive. this is a famous well located hotel with great facilities. the street in which this hotel is located is named after the hotel and the area of this hotel is very very porsche. Rome is a expensive city to find accommodation near the spanish steps. Staying anywhere else is not a good idea as commuting can be problematic. Great staff helpful people and very very well located.

Any hotel is just bricks and mortar, etc. but what makes it special are the people inside. This 50+ room hotel in the Via Veneto region of Rome has the very best staff I have ever met. Happy, courteous, helpful, knowledgeable are just a few of the adjectives that spring to mind. If you are North American then the rooms are European in size, but apart from sleeping and washing I don't do much else in the bedroom ( my wife censored the next part). Breakfast area is compact but there is sufficient supplies of varied foods, dishes, etc to satisfy. It is the general knowledge, help and expertise of the concierges that has given us one of the best holidays of our lives. Plenty of restaurants in the locality but do ask the concierge for recommendations.
