“loved this place”
Reviewed 23 May 2014

After my flight I took the metro from the airport, and walked there from the station. About 15 mins. The only piece of warning I will give is that it is not a well marked place. The street address is well identified but I didn't see a sign, so I thought I was in the completely wrong location. After asking for some help at the corner travel agency someone from the cafe came out to assist me. There is a buzzer beside the big wooded doors. You just buzz up. It is on the 4th floor. There is a older but quiet and full functional elevator that adds a lot of character to the place. The woman who greeted me was lovely and super helpful. She even had a map with the common places of interest and the location of the hotel pre-circled. I thought the location was fantastic. I walked and did not use public transit or taxis. I really enjoyed walking, there are lots of beautiful fountains and architecture that you would miss otherwise. Nothing was more than a 1/2 hour walk. There are cafés and restaurants all along the way.
Initially I wondered what I had signed up for when I first entered the building and realized the entire building wasn't the hotel. But, breathed a sign of relief once I got to the room. The room was spacious and beautiful ! It was stocked with a mini fridge with snacks, water, beer, wine (for a small price). The television has internet access and comes with a mini keyboard. There wasn't much for English channels on the TV as someone else mentioned but, I am fairly certain I don't have much Italian on my TV. There is a button for subtitle though and many had English subtitles. The WiFi was good, no issues on my devices!

we arrived just for one night to catch a flight from rome. the room was very very good for the price we paid (after sleeping in 7 other places in our trip), clean and new, equiped well, very organised.
the staff was very nice and helped us with everything we needed.
the only problem was the location: even though it's located inside the city "tourist map", it's pretty far from the important places. if you dont mind long walks or public transportation - it's the place for you....

Room Tip: room 4 was very good

We stayed in this B & B for 4 nights.Clean and comfortable at a very quiet and elegant neighborhood 15 minutes walking distance from Trevi. Also ten minutes walk from Termini so it is very easy to reach. The owner Marco is very friendly and helpful. Also the breakfast in the coffee place was good. The price is very good comparing with others.Excellent choice for Rome, we ll stay here again for sure next time we visit the city.

We had found this place on Booking.com and I am so glad we did. The rates are really good and affordable for Rome. The hotel is very well located, especially for the travelers who are weary of the hubbub near Termini station and who are not afraid of 10-15 min walking distance to and from the subway (~10 euro taxi ride). Furthermore, the B&B is not in the typical touristy area which means there are lots of great restaurants around where the locals go!
Modern and spotlessly clean room with everything you will need: great beds, no street sounds to disturb a light sleeper, and super-shower…No doubt, that for the next visit to Rome I plan to book a room again

Room Tip: All rooms have sound-proof windows and air-conditioner: you cannot go wrong

My wife and I staid in the B&B for two nights in October of 2013.

The hotel occupies one floor of a residential building in a quiet area of Rome.
It is in about 10 min walk to Republica metro station.

The place is quiet, there is an AC in the room, the bathroom has a shower cabin with an interesting shower: the shower head is equipped with the LEDs that change the color from blue to red depending on the temperature of water.

The breakfast is included. It consist of orange juice, coffee (cappuccino, espresso) and a pastry. Note that the breakfast is served either in a bar that is next door to the hotel or in another bar that is in 2-3 min walk from the hotel. We preferred the breakfast in the bar nearby.

There are several restaurants in the neighborhood that are worth a visit. Nothing exceptional but good pizza/pasta places.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. The price is right.

Me and my girlfriend had a lovely stay in the Domus Romantica. Even though it isn't a standard hotel the rooms are beautiful (for what you pay) and the service is next to none. Mark, the hotel's owner even drove to the local spar to get me some toothpaste and hair gel and didn't even take a tip. Now if that isn't service I don't know what is.

All in all if you want a good B&B with excellent service for around £130 a night in Rome there isn't any better place.

As other reviews say this isn't a normal hotel with someone at the reception area - so they will ask you what time you are due to arrive so they have someone there waiting for you. Upon arrival we were starving by this time it was about 2:30pm on a sunday & we'd been travelling for 8 hrs. So we thought to ask the reception where they recommend for lunch or even a supermarket. We were greated by a Spanish girl who was only working there for a short time she did not know much English at all & could barely explain which keys go into which door etc, we asked for a map & where we could go to eat & she gave us a map & said I do not know - I do not speak any English. So anyway, we walked around & being sunday half the places close on a sunday which is ok but it would've been helpful to have someone guide us - even in the right direction.. The bed was comfortable room wasn't that big but the high ceilings sure made the room feel much bigger than what it was. Unfortunately The bathroom area was small & once opening your luggage next to the bed there wasn't much room left. The following day we spent sight seeing we had a great day - be careful of pick pockets. Don't carry anything of high value & try to blend in with the crowd so you also don't get harassed by the many trying to sell you fake watches etc . In fact you will see many beggars around Rome too.
So what really frustrated us, was that night we had to wake up at 3:30am to leave by 4:30am, my husband asked me where our passports were & that was it in his normal voice whilst I was in the shower , he also had to lift the baggage onto the bed so we could pack & started to put the last bits & pieces in when a loud knock on the door came about 3:45am . It was the manager who was extremely angry. He said ive had complaints from all the noise you are making. My husband was extremely sorry but advised hed only spoken to me once about the passports & that we were packing & would be out of here in 45 minutes. He said I do not want to have to come back up here again, you are being too loud , ok & waving his hands in his face. So off he went & we quickly packed & left. As we were walking down the hall we heard another couple with music on, tv on & talking very loudly. It was them who was making all the noise not us. He should've got his facts straight before coming up the lift into the floor & banging on our door. So if you want to leave early I don't recommend it. Don't talk to your partner in your quietened down normal voice. whisper!
