The gardens and park by the San Alsemo Church are a delight and appreciated by Romans for thier quiet and peace.
The viewpoints are super, as is the local area of very nice villas and gardens.

the passeggiata from the Roseto Comunale until the St'Anselmo Basilica, one of the greatest and most poetic corners of Roma with Santa Prisca, Sant'Alessio, St'Anselmo and Santa Sabina churches to visit along with Il Giardino degli Aranci just on the way in between them. Fantastic view of the Vatican fromPiazza Sant'Anselmo and of the Forum from the Roseto Comunale. Another must.

There is a very nice and interesting church, San Sabina, and beside it a small orange grove with a beautiful view of Rome. In addition, there is a famous keyhole where one can see St. Peter's Basilica.

is you go up Aventino for about 15 min you will see an entrance to a small park - it's an amazing spot to see the sunset, or to have a romantic picnic

From the Circus Maxima you can easily go up the Aventine and find one of the nicest gardens, with panoramic view over the buildings of Rome. We went in March and the orang trees were still full of fruit.
