Thank you again the staff at Palazzo al Velabro for a thoroughly enjoyable stay. The spacious apartment right beside the weekend market was beautiful. An incredible view of the Palatine hill was stunning. We always feel at home at the Velabro !

Room Tip: any room is god.

We stayed here from April 6-13 when visiting Rome. This hotel is close to all the main attractions of Rome so you can certainly walk everywhere and we did. The staffs at the front desk are very helpful when it comes to booking our in excursions out side of Rome. The little breakfast room is small but if you come down a little early you practically have the place to yourself. There is a little store on the next street that you can pick up wine, bread and cheese to put in your kitchenette just in case you want a snack. A visit to Trattoria Roma is a must. The food is wonderful and the price is quite reasonable. Bring a little business card from the front desk and they will give you ten percent off. The apartment we had is clean and spacious. We had nothing to complain about the time we stayed here. Maid service daily keeps the room nice and clean. Towels are big and luxurious. We were very happy with our accommodation and will come back to the same hotel next year.

Our stay at the Velabro was exactly as we would have liked it to be. Comfortable and relaxing. A pleasure. The apartment nicely furnished and spacious. The view amazing. We were warmly welcomed and serviced. The Velabro is so conveniently located that we could reach many spots, including metro station when needed, with just a nice short walk.
We stayed with the kids and they also enjoyed their stay, and the breakfast!, very much.

My boyfriend and I stayed here last June for 4 nights while in Rome. Long story short: it was PERFECT for us! Location was ideal, we ended up walking everywhere (literally, everywhere) from the Vatican, Galleria Borghese, Spanish Steps, etc. The only time we took transportation was on a bus from the train station to get to this neighborhood.

We also liked to have a fridge. We bought a few bottles of wine, cheese, and meat as soon as we got there from a small market around the corner. Ended up relaxing in the room for a bit before heading out to dinner most nights, playing cards and sipping wine before another amazing Italian meal. The picture shows our balcony overlooking a beautiful little courtyard.

Breakfast was included which was great, we usually grabbed a few things and walked straight out the door as we were eager to explore.

Very clean, friendly staff, great location. Honestly would book the exact same place again if (when) we go back to Rome!!

Room Tip: I'm not sure if all rooms have a balcony, but I would suggest asking for one if you can... we loved using it in the evenings after a long day of exploring!

Very nice staff and it was nice having a separate bedroom. Free breakfast and coffee. Cons- a bit out of the way of major attractions in central Rome and the room was a bit wore out. Also not many food options in short walking distance. We have 2 young kids and took advantage of the little market that is around the corner to prepare a few meals in the room. All in all a 4 star experience in a 3 star hotel. Very much like a European style Residence or Hampton Inns.
