Tossed the coin into the Trevi in January this year and got lucky. Returned in June. Top of the pre trip to-do list was an email to Agnes to set a date for another journey into the baroque kicked off back in January.
I particularly wanted a guided tour of the Palazzo Doria - Pamphilj. Agnes prepared a very enjoyable and engaging walk kicking off with the Palazzo, followed by other relevant locations within walking distance. Our last meet up was with the family. This time I was solo. Agnes again impressed with her ability to intuit the customers' interest and pitch her talk accordingly. She also clearly gets a kick out of noticing changes around her Rome. A couple of times we stopped while she took a photo and related a little story about some small change to a building or square - these stops feel a lot like little extra treats.
Sadly the Trevi is under repair so no opportunity to throw a coin this visit. Who knows when I'll get back, but if I do, it’ll be a pleasure to meet up with Agnes again. Satisfied customers always come back.
A most engaging walk, thanks Agnes.
