“Disappointing”
Reviewed 17 March 2013

I booked to stay here, but had a serious emergency at home the day before arrival. They offered no cancellation possibility even though it was a serious circumstance that was unavoidable to predict. I know in the terms and conditions, there is a 48 hour advance cancellation policy, but ultimately they are the ones who decide. When I requested if they could help they were unremitting and insisted on full payment regardless the circumstances. I think this was quite unreasonable.

We stayed here for four nights in October (3 person room).

Location: close to the Vatican and shops. about 15 walk to the centre, some bars at walking distance so that was good.

The room was clean, big enough and had a good bathroom as well. It was nice to be able to put the windows open for fresh air, sometimes the neighbours could be heard in the morning though. The bed was good and the WIFI connection was perfect as well.

Angelica was very kind and helpful with various things!

I can definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome, very good value for money as well compared to most other places!

I stayed here for 3 nights for my 2nd visit to Rome in October. It is literally 5 minutes walk from St. Peter's square, and 2 minutes from a metro station linking you to the rest of Rome, so the location is fantastic.

The B&B is in a pleasant residential area. The room (single) was pretty basic; no toiletries for example, but was clean and modern. There is a good air conditioning system, which is quite a relief in the Roman heat.

Breakfast is provided by Cafe Zero, 5 minutes away. You get a drink and a pastry. The cafe is not particularly celubrious and charges 4 euros for a coke!

Angelica, the owner, is pleasant and amiable. I was disappointed because upon asking for a restaurant recommendation for authentic Roman cuisine (I love food), I was given a glossy flyer for a place which was definately catering for tourists.

Overall, I might stay here again because of the fantastic location, and for the price (60 euros a night) it is excellent value. But if you want a touch of luxury (and you'll have to pay for it) maybe think of elsewhere.

I gave 4 rather than 5 stars because of the breakfast, the lack of shower gel and the dubious restaurant recommendation.

I stayed at Angelica Home B&B for four nights in September. Angelica is a wonderful host! She is very welcoming and warm, kind, and helpful.
The B&B is in the perfect location for tourism, just two blocks to Via Ottaviano with the Ottaviano metro and many bus lines. Also, just 5 minutes walking to the Vatican. The area is safe with many restaurants, cafes, and markets (I recommend you visit the Mercato Trionfale, just 5-10 minutes walking from the b&b).
The rooms are well decorated, new, clean, and fully equipped with A/C, cable television, and a very good wifi connection. I stayed very comfortably here and would definitely return.
Thank you, Angelica!
