We stayed at this hotel for a week in November 2013.

The good:
-Pleasent staff, always greeted us, 24 hour service.
-Good location, walking distance to center of city.
-Clean. Also, got a practical weather update and a couple of chocolates every evening.
-Ok breakfast, scrambled eggs and bacon, several different kinds of meat and cheeses and other stuff. Juice, milk and coffe. Coffe is strong, but there is also warm milk. Pastries. Only problem I had was the good bread would often be gone if we were late for breakfast.
-Happy hour in the bar from 6 to 10 pm, half price off drinks and food.
-Room has ok space (think we had superior), but it is not very big. However, most hotels in center of Rome is in old buildings, so you cannot expect modern standards.

The (not so) bad:
-Elevators are small and slow. There is one elevator from ground floor to first floor that is bigger, but very slow. Also, there are no stairs here, so you are stuck with it. The second elevator is very small and slow, so you must be prepared to wait if you are not willing to take the stairs. Did not bother us much, but we are young and could easily take the stairs.
-Carpets and such look a bit old fashioned and makes the hotel look somewhat old, but they are very clean.
-The wine served in the bar was, I am sorry to say, awful. It was cheap (especially during happy hours), but being Italy, we had higher expectations.
-The view was not so much, but you could see a bit of the Borghese park above the buildings. The street is not very busy, there is a tram, not many cars as the street ends at the Piazza del Popolo. However, if you want a hotel in the center of Rome, you will get a view of a street of some kind.
-The bathroom felt a bit old, there were some dark spots between the tiles in the shower/bathtub. However, it was very clean and marble everywhere.

To sum up, we were very satisfied with our stay, for the price it was excellent (we paid about 135 euros per night, including city tax of 5 euros per night). This was November, it will probably be a lot more during high season.

Traveling with my brother, our friend made reservations here based on online reviews and website. We knew we would be pleased just based on the location right off the Piazza de Popolo and the Metro but the hotel really exceeded all expectations. The service is truly impeccable and all elements of the hotel are first rate from the front desk, lounge, breakfast area and business center. Getting to the smaller rooms was an adventure having to take two cozy lifts but it was a bit like traversing through Downton Abbey - really just adding to the ambience. If you can, stairs are just as easy to use. Rooms were very well appointed and clean. The complimentary breakfast was well up to the high standard of the hotel. And the lounge happy hour was always a pleasant way to begin your fun evening in the Eternal City. The front desk and service staff were all quite professional and very helpful - changing large Euro bills for us, assisting with reservation modifications, and always welcoming when we entered or left the hotel. I was completely satisfied with our five night stay.

Lift and rooms on the small side.great breakfast choices helped us considerably by keeping our extra luggage in store while we went to Finenz for two days. Thank you to all staff . MARIEANNE and Adrian Australia.

Struggle to find fault with this place. Whether it's half price drinks at happy hour (6-10!!) great location. - we walked everywhere. - coliseum was 20 mins walk through wonderful sites. Wonderful staff. The only possible drawback MAYbe the size of the rooms. A tad small but we only slept in them. And we were offered to upgrade to larger suites. I'm 6ft and 12stone. No complaints from me. Will defiantly look to stay here again next time we come to Rome

Though 2 lifts needed and a very small room, the decoration is so nice, the bed so good, the linen so spotless, the breakfast so rich and good, the bathroom so wealthy, that any possible improvement lies in small details only.

We paid 47 € pppn, for B&B, what seems very reasonable for a rather expensive city as Rome is.

The location also is very handy.

The hotel has a slightly romantic touch, however, the view from the room is neutral.

Very welcome is also the bar's 50% discount "happy hour" between 6 and 10 p.m.. Drinks are at that moment cheaper than in any stupid café in Brussels, and the hotel's clientele grateful ly uses this opportunity, so, the bar is neither too crowded nor too empty.
